With the recent purchase of the iMac I have changed the resolution of Ghost Recon to 1680 x 1020 x 32 which is the max res the computer can handle.

Everything displays correctly except for the writing in the top left remains incredibly huge - is there a file I can modify or something I can change to make that normal?

The game's not really new anymore and can't handle recent widescreen resolutions properly... but try the both scale options anyway.

Yeah, I wonder what file determines that font, if it's changeable.

On a related note, my Ghost Recon screen has been a bit messed up ever since I bought my Apple 20" Widescreen Display and upgraded to the ATi Radeon X800XT Graphics Card.  Unfortunately I did both at the same time, so I'm not sure which one is causing the problem.  I get jagged areas in all parts of the game, although it isn't too bad when you are actually playing the game, which is a relief.  It's a bit annoying in the before and after game screens though.

GhR just can't handle widescreen resolutions correctly... barely any games have widescreen support.

Well, America's Army plays GREAT with my setup, so that's all I really care about anymore anyway.  Grin

Yeah, ditto, the same happens to me on my 17" wide screen.
