Ok, I have got chance to bid for a 20th anniversary mac, its through a sealed bid auction, which means i put a price down, and won't hear if i am succesful for a couple of days.

I know the history behind them that there was only 12,000 made, and cost $10,000 originally, and aparently when you bought one a limo driver delivered it and someone installed it for you.

So, question is... how much should i bid?, or if you know how much generally/recentley they might have been sold for.

geez.. I thought we had a laborated discussion about this Smiley
I even showed you an ebay example Smiley But I understand why you put this thread up anyway.

I'd say go for it, it's a orginial and can be costly in the future. Although if you find a mac that is older,  it might be better in intrest.

Depends where they start from, and how much they are giving for. And if we are talking pounds, I'd go for £150-200 at top. But probably more at the £150 limit. Seems fair for me, depending how much you want one. I got an old Mac Color Classic which didn't sell that many units in Sweden. So it's rair, and I got anther Mac Classic with two disc-slots  clapping hands

Definitely more, it's a limited collector's item and a significant part of Apple's history. You wouldn't really use it, because it's slow as hell compared to recent Macs, but it's the "I have a 20th Anniversary Mac"-feeling. Wink And maybe some day you could sell it for even more than what you bought it for.
