hmm i heard that the devlopers of WoW did something to prevent something like that. After 24 h nonstop playing WoW ull get banned for like 1h. not sure if its true but i can imagin that.

Personally, I am willing to bet he had other medical issues that the authorities are not saying or just don't know yet until the autopsy.  The gaming was probably a precursor or trigger to his death, but if you read this article, it doesn't exactly sound likes its legit, but if it is, its still a sad thing.

Yeah, there has to be something behind it, but if you think about it. He said infront of a monitor for 50 hours, in a room which was probably pretty warm. He probably didn't eat that much under these hours. He gets an aldrenallin(spelled correctly?) rush from playing in so called "intense" battles. Which can trigger something in the body.
But wouldn't you think that somebody would have noticed if the guy next to you just fell down on the keyboard or what ever happend?

I can't stand more then maybe at max 5 hours of playing without gettin tired or getting a headache, then I usually stop. And do something creative on the computer. Or something else to rest the mind.

To set things right, this is a true account. it was published in our local newspaper...Also what was published was the new phenomenon of rising number of online/video gaming addicts (me and you), who sacrificed school and work just to play at least 5 hours a day...and there ARE rehab for these addicts (me and you again).... that'll probably include total elimination of playing from your diet....

i dunno if its just me or whether this happens to anyone else, but...

if i play like non stop for a good old long time ( 4 hours quite normal), then i go to bed. you know those dreams you have just before you wake uup where u can almost be in control of your dream, well i dream about the video game im really into at that moment.
happens with ps2 games mac games annything. i was even into a fucking mahjong game for a while which i was dreaming about.

so i quit gamong and the internet except emails for about a year and feel much better about it. theres definitely a point when staring at a video screen is unhealthy.

now i just dream about girls which is much more normal i think.....
