Next person caught cheating on public server - same verdict

Voodoo, was caught cheating on BTs Harvey's public Raven Shield server. Even if the circumstances are different: he worked together with the *DBL and Evill to prevent any use of hacks in game - he recently violated our no cheating policy.

Although I consider Voodoo as a good friend of mine and believe his intentions, the *DBL and I don't accept any use of hacks and so the following has been agreed by *DAMN and the BL Admins:

Voodoo has been banned from *DAMN indefinitely. As a former member, of the disbanded and inactive, BoC and as Clan leader according to *DAMN rules Voodoo's actions also result in that All previous Season wins will be nullified, because there is no way to prove that hacks were not used in Clan battles.

So it is in yours and the clan leaders interest to double check that everyone plays by the rules.

On a final note Voodoo has time for 24 hours to make a final statement, before the ban will be applied.

Guessing what voodoo is going to say, well it isn't an excuse. You know damn well you don't load hacks and then go into someone elses server.... just 'testing' uhuh - in a public server? without asking the host? come on

Lastly as a ex admin you know the score. And you will know perfectly well that *DAMN is not going to make exceptions when it comes to cheating. The rules are perfectly and horribly clear.

If you were simply testing out the server anti hack setup why the hell didn't you talk to harvey first, and if he wanted to allow someone use hacks to test it then do it in a locked room in private as was clearly stipulated when working as an admin on anti hack work?

Typhy was a BL admin. Typhy worked on the anti cheating issue. There is no grey its black or white - people are using hacks in public or cb games or they are not.

the cheat/hack existed back then already tho... and nobody can assure that it hasnt been used, as trustful as voodoo might be. rules are rules, and the same foul shouldnt be treated differently for another person.

Krush and Vickedson already summed it up and I also know that you are right Crypt, and I even mentioned that in the verdict that we worked together to find a counter measure. For me personally it is an extreme hard decision since I know Vooodoo since app. 4 years!

However Voodoo left us no other choice than to go by rules.  Sometimes it is required that you decide things on a professional level and not a personal one. So same rules apply for everyone - there will be no exceptions and further this is not a decision by my own. Although I may post the verdict - there is at least a handful of guys deciding about such things and also the community expects to make no differences on a personal level.
