For the past half hour or so, maybe more, me, Yoshi, Night Hawk, Psyks, and Eight were taking some time remembering the old days of Rogue Spear. RS Clans, RS Mods, RS icons, RS players. Some names came up, such as Flip, Oso, Happy Jack, Geek, Silverblade... When the conversation ended, I thought of one more name that we hadn't mentioned: Grifter.
I looked at my calendar, and saw that today is July 19. I vaguely remembered Grift passing away in either June or July. I did a forum search for "Grifter," and much to my disbelief, Grift passed away on...
...July 19.
We're still thinking of you, man. Rest in peace.

RiP Grift He will always be remembered by the *DAMN community as one of the best players around. It was a sad day when everybody on GR heard about his Motorcycle accident....and even a sadder day today July 19 when he was gone...Even tho the day nearly ended without his rememberence it didn't...and that shows how much of a friend he was to all the people around him....after 2 years of passing away and still being thought of on some old Web Site that more then 99% of the people in the world have never heard really does mean something. His name is still even listed as a MoD and will always be so we may never forget this day.
RIP S.W.A.T. Grifter

I didn't know Grifter very well personally, but we spoke often enough. He left a mark on how I viewed things and I do miss him. He's one of those people that no matter how long you spoke to him, you would always get something new out of it. We still remember... †

Didn't ever get a chance to meet him, must have missed him by 2 or 3 years. But from what I've heard and read in the past, he sounds like a great guy. Can't argue with that.

I was on my PC when I first met Grift and I was a little 12 year old with a lot of questions and Grifter was happy to answer them all. I used to go through threads and just read his posts because they were that god damn funny and well thought out. The community took a huge blow when he passed.

Grif was a lot of fun. Thanks for the reminder of good times....

I remember this day because it was on my mothers birthday. I remember coming home from dinner and being very worried †RiP Grifter.

I had the pleasure of being one of the many who considered Grift to be a great online friend....he always answered peeps questions on here or GR and was a great gamer.
Also, lets not forget that he was one of the few who actually made an impression on the advancement of Mac gaming, and now Bucc, who was a close personal friend of Grifts, carries on the dream....
2 thumbs up to Mac gaming!

Bucc doesn't visit this forum anymore, but he told me they are doing okay.
