Looks awsome - Colin McRae 2 was a massive game for me Cheesy  The graphics looked hot - reflections on the cars, dynamic damage that affected the handling of the car etc - great tracks, great game full stop.

Graphics for 2005 look good - but in a weird way some parts  don't seem as hot as i remember in McRae 2. the cars don't look quite so detailed, and you can almost see the point of the particle generator in one of those videos - then again those are lo res vids, and its not out for a while, and im sure my memory has pimped it up big style .. still cant wait, will be one to pre-order  Cheesy

Feral has put up some screenshots and has a list of the cars included in the game.

As far as the latest informations go, they're planning to release it in January at the MWSF. The delay is because of a very complex physics engine and a longer testing/fixing period as expected.

Either it's UB already or they'll release an update when it's time.

Well i was looking at the force feedback steering wheels.... Wink

But then again a) i have a car anyway so the whole driving thing needing a wheel isn't the same, b) im not made of money and c) i don't even know if this damn game will run on my comp or not!

... c) knowing my luck the answer will be no.

I got a hold of some preliminary system requirements from Feral's PR Center:

Minimum:
Mac OS: 10.2
Processor: 700Mhz
Memory: 256MB RAM
Graphics: 16MB VRAM
HD: 1.3GB
Control: Keyboard & Mouse
Drive: DVD

Recommended:
Mac OS: 10.3
Processor: 1Ghz
Memory: 512MB RAM
Graphics: 16MB VRAM
HD: 1.3GB
Control: Steering Wheel
Drive: DVD

---

I kinda doubt the graphics card requirement... but, I just iistened to the iGame podcast episode from today with an interview with Feral and he said that it'd probably be 1Ghz, 10.3.9 and 32MB VRAM, not sure yet, though. And, it'll use GameRanger for online multiplayer! Cheesy

ETA is the first quarter of 2006... and I got myself a USB gamepad already. Tongue

Ok how the hell...

look at the game screen shots
read about the dynamic car body parts etc
read about the particles and physics in the game

then look at the specs (ESPECIALLY the GPU)... ONLY FREAKING 16MB GRAPHICS CARD Huh

Nah, these requirements are only preliminary and I have no idea why it says 16MB VRAM there... they probably couldn't tell yet and just put this in. As David Stephan from Feral said in the interview, they're aiming for 32MB VRAM as minimum requirement in case of graphics.

Games4Mac.de, where I work as editor and moderator, is going to have a simultaneous interview with Edwin Smith from Feral and Glenda Adams from Aspyr soon. Pretty excited about that, not sure yet if before or after the MWSF, though. Smiley

I wouldn't have been to surprised if it had been a min requirement of 64MB but a suggested 128MB card...

but let us know if any gossip slips out, im dying to get my hands on a copy!! Cheesy

So... a few days ago Feral let the public know that they won't be showing CMcR'05, Fable and Imperial Glory on the MWSF '06 yet.

But... I got inside informations that they have a surprise (yes, a game) which is equal to either of the three mentioned ones. And yes, they'll reveal it tomorrow (respectively today if you're in Europe or somewhere further east). Cheesy Now what could that be... hmm? I heard that it might be a sports game, a popular series... not allowed to say what, though. Wink Tongue

And to finish my post... I got other inside informations, from Freeverse, that they also have an unannounced AAA title for Mac gamers! Cheesy No hint on what their surprise might be, though. I'm thinking it could be a Jump'n'Run, definitely a non-violent game, looking at their list of games so far.

The mentioned game by Freeverse will be presented tomorrow and another hint I'm allowed to give... it's a very recent title which hasn't even been released for Windows yet. Smiley

And btw, MacSoft announced today that they're going to bring an AAA title in the first quarter of this year, too. My tip is UT2007.

Goddamn... so many good new games coming, I don't know what to play anymore! lol
