Sure it is possible because R6 for Mac and PC have the same version number.
It doesn't matter which guy hosts a game. You should prefer a host with static IP and no firewall.
The host has to send you his IP address then he starts R6 or EW and creates a game. You also start R6 or Eagle Watch(depends what the host plays), press on multiplayer/manuel join and fill in the host IP address. The standard port for R6 and EW is 2346.
Enjoy your games!

If you can't find out what your IP is and neither of you have static ones, there are a few ways to find out.  Sometimes when you set up PPP for a regular modem it will fill in your IP for you, allowing you to see it.  But if you have DSL, you have to get a utility called "what's my address," which I will email you if you need it.

Your PC friend can find his address using the RUN command in the start menu, but I dont' remember what he'd have to type in.  Wink  lol, sorry.

Anyway, I just thought that might help, as I had some trouble figuring out my IP at first.

he has to type "winipcfg", then a configuration utility for some network parameters appears... on the mac you can also find out your dynamic ip with the TCP/IP control panel: just open it when you are connected Smiley

Unless you have a really bizarre DSL setup like I do, in which my provider gave me a static IP to type into TCP/IP---but that address is not my actual IP.  To find the real thing (which is dynamic) I still have to use a utility.

yup.  But it is fast, so I'm not complaining.

When I get more of my website up and running I think I will post my horror stories with DSL, VPC, and the like.
