hello. welcome to the CULTURE CORNER.
this evening we will talk about this novel, Rainbow Six, by Tom Clancy. The story is about a bunch of little dicks who likes guns.
John Clark - An old wheelchaired wannabe.
Ding Chavez - A mexican troll.
Eddie Price - Famous porno editor.
Mr Popov - aka Mr Popo from DragonBall
Tim Noonan - NERD
ok now ill be serious. ive read 1/3 of the book and i think it kicks ass.

and now i want to make a referendum.
if in the future, they will make a movie based upon R6, wich actor you would like to see on the screen? these are my ideas:
John Clark - Tommy Lee Jones
John Brightling - Harrison Ford
Ding Chavez - George Clooney o Russel Crowe
Eddie Price - Mr Connery
Bear - Samuel L Jackson
and i would like to put in also Edward Norton cuz i really love this actor.

We had already this thread if you look at page three of the threads. Yes the book is fantastic I really love it and I had to write a 25 page long report about Tom Clancy - Counter  Terrorism
for my final exams which includes summaries of Rainbow Six and Clear and Present Danger.

Bye,

Mauti

Yeah I love the books.  in fact, that's how I heard about the game.  In the back they advertised for the game.  See, if it weren't for the book you wouldn't get to read my mindless postings and be annoyed by my inconsequent babblings.  Now, do you still like the book?

right now I'm about 6 chapters into "Red Storm Rising."

Which ones are y'alls favorites?

Mine is "Executive Orders"

Well. i HATE all pop writer such as Wilbur smith, ken follet and, of course, tom clancy. i bought the book for two reasons: 1 i was curious about the differeces between the game and the book.
2 i had a 12 Hrs long train trip. so i had time to spent.
i like pulp and horror books.
lemme give you some advices
Dennis cooper. -Ziggy-Frisk-Idols
Dean r. Koontz -Monsters-
any of Allan Poe novels

Hey. . .If you want to talk in Italian, private message Ebola.  he is the only one who understands.  I have seen your English in your other posts and it is just fine.  Please translate!

My Italian vocabulary is limited pretty much to musical terms, greetings, and a few menu items Wink

Well I personally read all the Rogue Warrior books back to back, but could not get halfway through the Rainbow Six book... it was just very dry to me, very slow moving and it jumped all over the place.. i got as far as the part when they got the hostages from the house on the way to the chopper...then fell asleep Wink

I'm sorry to hear that Sad

But Bernie at least I try to translate my German for those who don't speak it.  Of course sometimes I can't, because what I'm saying in German makes no sense whatsoever and would make even less in English. ...Wink

Strange.... I read R6 and i loved it.  It prompted me to start reding more Clancy books and to buy the game (which i thought looked stupid). I am now through Clear and Present Danger, and i watched the movie. Has any one here read Without Remorse? The second chapter sex scene was great!!! Don't ever diss Clancy books.

hahaha!  Yes, I enjoyed that one too.  So far my favorite in the series was Executive Orders.  It was a little long, but I thought it had the best/most realistic plot to it.  Although you need to read Debt of Honor first.  It kind of lays all the background.  Especially the end, where the guy in the plane kills all the stupid Congresspeople Wink

I am reading the tom clancy books in order of storyline.  So far i've like without remorse the best.  THat book is FK'n awsome!!.  John Clark just goes around killing guys left and right!! Very Good book. I like the John Clark character better than Jack Ryan.  What do u literary geniouses think? Cool
