In preparation for the upcoming finals, I decided to refresh my understanding of the rules. Unfortunately, I'm still unclear on one point. Can an ADMIN please clarify a hosting question for me?

The rules state --> "The better ranked clan starts to host except both clan leaders decide to play the entiry cb on the other host or a dedicated one."

The rules also state --> "If you refuse a host during the lag test games, you cannot be forced to play on this host."

My question is... who has the final say over the hosting set up during the finals? In other words, what happens if the teams cannot agree on a host set up -- single, split or dedicated?

Thanks.
T

I gonna post all details for the finals on sunday.

About your question per default it is split hosting however if you have already agreed otherwise before we are fine with it and respect your agreement.

If a clan refuses all hosts from the opponent one of our admins gonna host and then both clans will be forced to play on this host no matter if it is even worse or not.

Last but not least with this season we introduced that you have to agree on each host before you start to play at all. So you test and agree on both hosts before you actually start to cb.

Bye,

Can the first round be played prior to finals date if both clans agree?

Yes, as described in the *DBL main news this can be done if you post about it in the main news and it gets also confirmed from the other clan.

Then only the winner must be present on saturday and can come 1 hour later as the other clans. So the winner clan has to be online on saturday at 8:00pm CET.

Bye,

Who Gets final say on number of participants in CB. Say if one team wants 3 vs 3 and other wants 5 vs 5 and enough members are online?

Uhh, not exactly the right place for your question, but if there aren't enough people online, the other team has either got to wait, or just deal with it.

the default cb size in the finals is 4v4.

example: if team A has only 3 but team B has 4, and wants to play with 4, team A has to play shorthanded.
of course team B could agree to play 3v3, but they don't have to.
