Does anyone know when the full version of GameScouter will be released?!? I checked on gamescouter.com but it says that it will be release within the next week but that has been there for almost a month now or more. Does anyone know what is going on?

i think there are too many bitter banned gr users around here getting people's hopes up about gs... the new version of gs has been promised for a month and a half now (i think), and the old version of gs was as much like gr as a piece of shit with icing on it is like a cake

I hope it's realeased soon because I am getting sick of this GR bullshit. Everytime you turn around, GR has another problem. And Scott is such an ass when you do have problems he could care less. So I know I will be very happy when the new GS comes out.

gosh s.b.d don't take it so seriously i am just saying that GR has become quite annoying lately with the server and i can't wait to see what gamescouter will be like i don't know why you took so much affense to it and s.b.d that isn't a metaphor that ace used it something called a simile, you might want to go back to english because obiviously you don't know the difference Wink

vapor - sbd has a point... gr goes down for three days and u cant stop bitching because u ignore the fact that gr is pretty damn reliable and this is the only server prob that has lasted more than 10 mins that i can remember in a LONG time (and i would be willing to bet i have been on gr a lot longer than u or most anyone else here)... secondly, if ur gonna rip on sbd for saying metaphor, u should understand first that its a fucking analogy (and spelling "obviously" correctly wouldnt hurt either)

hahaha!  You all are funny!  I like watching you argue!  But anyway, if you will look back in this forum a few months, GR was down for a little while then as well.  Also note that it does have a wacky server.  But still, it has its good points.  So bash it if you like, and don't make a big deal out of those who don't bash it.  And don't bash the bashers.  ok?

loud - u said gr was down a few months ago; obviously a few months of a continuous free service isnt enuf for everyone... as much as evill can be an ass, everyone here should remember that he has given us gr for free after putting in countless hours... people need to think about that even if gr was down every other day, we would still be getting our money's worth cuz ITS FREE

Gosh, Ace you can be such a prick. I know I would be willing to pay a small shareware fee as long as the server didn't have any problems, but I know it's free and there is going to be problems. But Ace, you need to lighten up because you are being a prick. And S.B.D.  no I'm not one of those english class freaks, I just thought I should let you know. Really, I hate english is sucks, and it is very boring.

vap - i guess if standing up for the good point sbd made makes me a prick, then im a prick... u say u would be willing to pay a small shareware fee, but i have good money saying that if evill started charging for gr, there would be an uproar on this forum

Ace. You are right, I agree with you 100% that there would be an uproar on the forum if GR became shareware. But I wouldn't be complaining, because I think GR would be worth paying the money for, and I would be all for Scott's decision to charge us. I mean hey, if I were him I would make it shareware to. I mean he spent all that time making it and everyone on the mac uses it for games so why not make a small shareware fee. So I wouldn't be one complaining. Also, I don't want to start a quarrel with you so I'm just going to keep stuff to myself. But some of the stuff you say I agree with. Smiley

Shocked

I leave to play R6 for a little bit over IP and the next moment everyone is yelling at each other Wink

Almost *all* services, paid or free, go down once in awhile. Even GameSpy has been down! GR is pretty darn reliable for a free service. It's also a great bargain. Unintrusive ads, lots of up-time and its free! I know of very few services that are as good as that. GameSpy Arcade or the Zone for example have ads all over the place and are *severly* bloated applications/websites.

I, personally, am not getting all worked up over GR being down... I've been able to get some solid work done on a new website of mine. It's at http://thewrath.cjb.net if anyone wants to look. Only the Web Design section is currently functioning...

So.. cool it.. find some people over AIM or wherever to play with..

Huh hey vap, do you trully think that Scott making GR having to pay for a good idea.... think about it, Mac computers have a hard enough time getting poeple to buy macs and play games in the first place.
When people go to play games on a free msn zone or a paying GR, which one do you think they will pick!

thats my point

I would assume that Kevill gets a royalty, or a percentage of profit from each game that comes with GR. They (game companies) cannot just be granted usage of his creation for free. He is getting paid somehow. That is why he can give us a "free" service.

vision- lets make this clear once and for all...EVILL MAKES JACK SHIT OFF GR... he makes a very small amount of money off the banners, but how much can jazz jackrabbit really be bringin him in.... game compagnies arent the ones who are granted usage of his creation, we are... yes, gr might help the sales of some of those games a little, but they also help increase the popularity of gr

vap-- im glad that u hate english class.
ace-- i never said u were a prick.... just an ass  Grin . Im sure gr will continue to be a free service because I'm cheap and will always hope for the best-- and cheapest future.  I think scott will keep a free service because it would be too much of a fuss to have so many people paying him  so much money  Wink
