I'm a huge football fan (college mostly) NFL too and when I'm not watching football its all about baseball but these months of February and March are making me sick i don't like basketball at all so if anyone is feeling the same way please cry about it here.

Helpful therapy: ESPN shows Spring Training games every day at 1:00 PM EST.

Well, being a footy fan from Norway helps a lot. I follow the English premiership as well as the norwegian league. Good thing about that is that the Norwegian league starts in april and ends in november. The english league starts in august and ends in may. So, it's footy all year for me.

I played Soccer when I was younger, great game. But I have no clue why the whole world takes it so seriously. I mean, people getting trampled to death at games and such? I don't see any sports as that important to me. And I sure as hell don't watch any sports on T.V. That is just the worst...it's different if you are going to the games in person.
Oh well, just my 2 cents.
Peace.

I too miss football....all the gambling, fantasy leagues and beer. So i supplant the offseason with surfing. I used to go to shitloads of hockey, but now I used that money for season tickets to baseball.

i hate the way fox sports net shows reruns of fights. like its cool when they do the 101 knockouts, but i don't wanna see the same fight twice in a matter of 2 weeks or so. i also hate that they have Darts world championship, and horse racing...GAY SPORTS. but yeah, baseballs coming up, and i catch the english premiere games every once in a while but it could be over now for all i know, i'm pretty good for sports.

I agree...some ppl take it too seriously. Thank god that most of the worst supporters have been banned, jailed, etc. Still, there are some rotten apples everywhere that have to spoil the fun for ppl like me, who love the sport. Still, there are times where my mood is strongly affected because of some poor results. Ppl say that footy is a disease. Well, thats only half the truth. Loving a team is a disease, loving the sport isn't. Unfortunatly for me, I love two teams(one in Norway and one in England), and they have been doing poorly these last few years....but this year its going to be different. GO EVERTON!!!!!!!

in football grudges are held forever...i hate you argentina. i noticed that a LOT of the latino teams are sloppy compared to the european teams. if you watch a couple south american teams go at it, you see they just try and boot the ball into the other end and get lucky, there's usually about 5 people swarming the ball as soon as it gets passed midfield. the european teams use a strategy, passing the ball around trying to set up a break, it's just way more fun to watch. i think that's one of the reasons the latino teams play so dirty in the international matches, they start faking left and right and attacking key players....hate that kind of play, and i hate you argentina.

Even if you aren't a basketball fan, it's no doubt that the NCAA tournament is the most exciting championship in all sports. Yes, even more than the super bowl. Anything can happen in March.

In basketball they score far too often so i dont really find it that exciting. In soccer they don't score enough so it can be boring to watch. Baseball... well they dont even really hit eachother in baseball so i view it more of a game than a sport. Ill take football and rugby please.

I'll take the last 5 minutes of a close basketball game over the last play of a close football game. It's something about the intensity of it that makes it so great to me. I'd even take the last inning of a close baseball game too. Soccer's just plain weird, the game lasts for 90 minutes but usually continues for no reason. Stupid.

I've found that everyone who use that statement do not fully understand the strategy/rules of basketball. Watching the Pistons go from a 2 point lead to a 5 with a 3 tee'd up by Chauncy Billups, priceless.

I hate basketball for multiple reasons. No matter how many fancy moves they make, they still go back and forth with a couple of interceptions in the game. I also hate the no contact stuff, god forbid someone touch you when you are doing your lame taunts. I'll take hockey, football, or even soccer over basketball in any way.

they leave the clock running and add the lost time at the end from game stoppages.
