I'm using 1024*768*16 with all details on high. The reason why i don't use 1280*1024 is that for some reasons the command maps doesn't scale properly and the chat text is incredible large...

My G4 633 laptop works better on 1024x864x32mb than 16mb...i don't get it. Its hell to play with on 16mb.

I've noticed with a 9600 Pro that there are many errors in AA. One of which is having 30% visible yellow blobs on every surface. These blobs can be deactivated by turning off some weird cube map stuff...or at-least I think that's what I did.

standard G4 laptop card...i.e. havn't got a clue.I know its weird i was over joyed when i switched from 16 to 32 made such a improvement on fps.

Seeing as there's no such thing as a 633 processor in the powerbooks ever... I'll assume you mean 667. In which case the graphics card you have is a ATI Radeon Mobility with 16MB of VRAM. And yes there are not any numbers associated with that card, being a original Radeon.
P.S. Perhaps you were confusing 667 with it's 133 bus speed.

Who owns the computer? I will continue to spit on gaming on laptops until they release a decent processor or bus speed. On the topic of bus speeds, be comforted in the fact that despite the 1GHz increase in top speeds in laptops since your 667 top of the line, the bus has only moved 33 MHz. What does that mean you ask? The speed of the new powerbooks isn't all that flashy and will only move a bit because of low buses, thus why G5s will forever own G4s.
On a comical side note: Freescale (aka motorola) has a roadmap to bring G4 busses over 500-600 MHz, which also included a dual core 64bit G4 within a year. The funny part you ask? This roadmap seems like one from about 2002.

I changed my res to the biggest widescreen 1200 something x768 something and the HUD is all like someone sat on them, anyone know a way of making them go back to normal under this res?

erm just turn off or on the "scale HUD" option in your user settings (unless you mean its got all might scqashed in which case go up to 1200x1024 or 800x600 ect rather than trying to view widescreen)
