Oh, now for the top 10 that I watch with my daughter:

1.  Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (great old movie with Dick Van Dyke and Sally Ann Howes)

2.  Mary Poppins

3.  The Sound of Music

4.  Finding Nemo

5.  Aladdin

6.  Monsters, Inc

7.  Toy Story 1 & 2

8.  A Bug's Life

9.  Ice Age (cute animated movie about animals set in the Ice Age)

10.  Any of the Herbie The Love Bug movies (you know, the cute little VW Bug with a heart)

Also, although not really movies, we bought the first season of the TV show KnightRider on DVD and my 5-year-old daughter can't get enough of it.  And since I loved it as a kid, I don't mind watching it with her.  KITT is awesome!  Maybe I just have a thing for cars with a soul...my daughter says David Hasselhoff is handsome...lol.

Well, you all have to see more Austrian movies... there are some quite good ones.

E.g. Komm Süßer Tod (Come Sweet Death), Silentium (well, seems there is no english dub at the moment).

One very nice german movie was Goodbye Lenin.

Another one I can recommend is the swedish movie Kopps, which had me laughing for hours.

A few weeks ago, I also saw the original War of the Worlds from 1953, whose special effects left me speechless.

Strange... I can't think of any recent movie which has captured my attention for long...

Well there are a lot of great movies:

Movies I have seen very often - Terminator 2(a true classic), The Rock(excellent action), Black Hawk Down(reminded me on my army time and the urban warfare training village Quantiz we had to conquer a few times).

Another movie I have seen more than dozen times is Eiskalte Engel(Cruel Intentions) - I still love this movie.

And also every older James Bond title is just very entertaining.

bye,

Mauti

OH MY GOD NOMAD, ROCKY IV IS THE WORST!!!
it's such a blatant money maker, they tried to squeeze in anything that'd attract an audience:

robots=money   in the beginning, right off the bat, rocky has a fucking robot in his house that starts talking to people and serving them, trying to rip off johnny 5 or some shit. god the 80s really ruined films for a while.

american beating russian=money
picking on the fat guy=money

man, i just saw this a few days ago and i have already put most of it out of my mind, but still, the robot part right in the beginning was enough.

also, with practically every fight sequence in the rocky films, the sound effects are just too rediculous, they have little explosions every time someone gets hit. and in real boxing, if you can hit anyone that clean just once in a fight, you probably win right there 9/10 times. don't they know how to put their fists up? they abandon defense totally. GOD.
