Not sure if this is the proper place, but I didnt want to start a new topic on it. The Map Chalet, in the DBL packs has a couple of extremely biasd spawn points. The problem with the spawns arose in a recent cb between MoD and [a]. The two spawns were the ones behind the fences. One spawn is easily able to pin the other in and force them to have to sit and wait, while the other team camps out the three minutes, or risk being GL'd from the outside which is your only escape root. The spawn by the vehicle does not have near enough time to exit the spawn point before the other team at the adjacent spawn point boxes them in. I propose that this map be either taken off the playable list,
or
change the spawn by the vehicle to an adjacent corner behind the house that has no spawns in it. I think this map could be fun if the vehicle spawn point was moved, but as it is now, if it is played and the same situation occurs, then it is very unfair and is almost impossible to win from that spawn.

we are aware of the problem and it will be fixed in the final version of the *DBL map pack, which will be released at the end of the season.

The spawns where one team can plug in the other with GL's is rediculous and I can't believe nobody has complained earlier. No other Ghost Recon map is like that, yes some other maps have spawns that are not as advantageous but this one is just rediculous, it's an automatic win for the team that didn't spawn in the hellhole.
Moving the spawn isn't a big deal, i suggest moving it into the gulley on the far eastern side of the map or downstairs where the warzone used to be. In any event it should be moved because it's unfair the way it is now.

My question is to whoeve made the mappack, what were they thinking!? Oh that's right...they weren't.
They didn't realize that this would happen because now all of the clans have the rest of the season to continue using this map and I can only imagine the amount of clans who will get fucked over by these spawns.

I have a suggestion...agree with the clan you are CB'ing NOT to use Chalet before you start any CB. Get a screen shot of the agreement. And then just don't CB them if they won't agree to it. End of problem.

Or either the admins can make a statement for the remainder of the season that chalet shall not be allowed until that spawn is changed. (This is what I am requesting happen)

Sorry dark, I don't think the map will be pulled. Ghostsnipers solution is much simpler. At the end of the season, you can re petition to pull the map, but right now, in the middle of the season, it would be better not to pull it.

Dark, changing the map during the season would go against the rule about changing rules in the middle of the season that we have had for a while now (a rule which I support completely). Just make the other clan agree not to play it before a CB if it is that much of a problem.

For a while now? Two or three seasons ago the *DBL 1.5 was introduced mid-season which was crap too and now a simple thing like a map can't be banned from cb's.

Shade, to update the spawnpoints we would need to release another update - we are planning one final update for season XI, but not another midseason update.
So this would leave us banning it. Well since a few people still like it to play and not all(?) spawnpoints are screwed, it's the easiest way to just agree on it before you cb. It's just one line in GR chat.
Well however you could help is when you already post a photoshopped command map where the new inserts should be in your opinion.

and on *DBL Prison: the south-spawn should be outside behind the current spawn, to make the distance to the wz a bit longer. this spawn currently has a very good advantage over the others.

On the subject of banning maps with bad spawns.
Aztec, Red Square........ wait all maps have spawns where should u spawn together one team has an automatic win.

Red Square isn't an automatic win for any team, neither is Aztec. And I disagree that prison night should be banned, I personally don't like the map but there's nothing wrong with it really.
BTW Mr. Guest...the subject isn't banning all maps with bad spawns, it's changing the spawn site for this one map.

Yes, even though I currently hate chalet almost more than I hate wilderness, I am not asking for it to be banned (although that would be fine
) I am asking for that spawn to be simply moved to a little ways away.
I have a proposed change but I dont have a site to put it on the internet so that I can put a link to it.
