I dunno if anyone is using this allrdy but its a great app.

I was looking for some app to create another dock on my screen, because I had to much in my default dock that I frequently needed. (the dock spread across my whole screen and the icons were the size of a smilie Lips Sealed ). So I searched around on google and some forums and found different apps to switch between docks, but never to have two docks at the same time... Then I found Butler. It gives you the ability to add an extra menu to your menubar or in a dockshape with a lot of other options. You can fully customize it. And now my dok is back to its normal shape with only the current running programs and the trash can in it. clapping hands

I'd suggest you also try http://www.donelleschi.com/ 's Dock Fun for multiple docks. Sticky Windows to tab windows to the side of the screen. And of course Cunning Fox for a way to pause application CPU use.

I use almost exclusively Quicksilver to launch my programs.

Also, at the MacDevCenter there is a (quite dated) comparison of Butler, Launchbar and Quicksilver.
