Season X: upcoming topics

Here is a short, not complete list, what topics we gonna start very soon, we just want to work out some presolutions first we would like to present you:

1.) FFA Scoring - may change it to a way that the mass of cbs isn't such a strong factor. Of course don't expect to be first with only 1 well done FFA cb, while others played 80 ;-)

2.) May reintroducing a scoring system to the fun ladders? The sheep system works very fine in combination with the finals, but may people would like to see a different scoring system for the "fun" ladders, because there aren't finals. Another solution would be to display the normal scoring next to your sheep count, huch I just have a very nice idea ;-) More later.

3.) Presenting an additional rule book for starters. The *DBL rules are quite big, because with the time people tried to find loopholes and loopholes. However we gonna think to add a very thing rulebook for starters - with all game settings, and basic rules. This could especially be helpful for normal members.

4.) We gonna have an after season review this sunday. Aramarth was our admin to collect and inputs we got during the season. May some additional major topics will be discussed after this meeting.

Yes as you can see in the HoF Überadmins, and now also admins, can see an alternative scoring. We are running the ELO system since season 1 behind the scenes for comparison how well our own systems do,  e.g. the combat point system was very similiar to the ELO system. Out of 26 rankings only 4 were slightly different.(if you scroll down to all our BL news you may also find a news item where we voted what system to use in the future, ELO was an option,)

well, I understand why you cant have a finals for FFA ladders, but why is there no finals for the GhR CQB ladder? Seems to always be very competitive and many cqb's played.

Unless they were done at different times their staff would be stretched too thin. I think they consider them fun ladders... but all ladders are fun... but...
