Season X: clan cb limit - Your opinion!

I gave many ideas BFG, read the threads more thoroughly.  10 Sheep is as good as going back to the point system.

Ein I said ten but I changed my mind to 8 after reading one of mysts post (omg mysts post changed someone! ) Anyway I think that if by mid-season alot of clans have used up the 8 cb's maybe the limit can be changed to ten, the rules are not set in stone and can be changed or flip-flopped (I know democrats love that phrase, yes it is a joke laugh its funny) And maybe the admins will see that 8 is to much and reduce it down next season (doubtful) but 8 is good for now and by midseason if co has played mod nRg Po ? [a] BTs and others 8 times then by god it needs to be ten but Im sorry twist I dont see that happening.  I think that 8 is good, the number can always be changed later but 8 is good for now.

ok ok... i know this is a novel idea and all but since the thread has been made announcing how many cb's are allowed againts one clan(8-10 max) and we have learned how many sheep is a maximum bet from the other thread (20/50/20), then why cant we all quit the bitching about it and give it a try. How do we know 8-10 cbs arent enough or that 20/50/20 is too much? We dont. Were all going off our own oppinion. So lets quit the bickering and flaming and just give it a shot. It is a step in the right direction and if we dont like how it works out for Season X, then there is always Season XI.

It would always be nice to know where admin debates are heading so we know what currently to discuss on the issue.

Myst there isn't any debate yet. We have discussed and worked out the solution we have posted above. This is the solution we think will work best. We are waiting for the input of the community then make a final decision. The reason why it is discussed first hand in the admin section is that it is easier to stay ontopic and discuss topic after topic.

as much as we bitch and moan about the admins, let's give Mauti and big applause  for genuinely hearing us out and listening to the community.

That said, sometimes the simplest answer is the best.  I'm still for setting the CB limit vs. a clan at 12 (though I suppose 10 will suffice), not allowing clans to cb more than 2 times in a row on any ladder,  and still allowing clans to bet as many sheep as they wish.  Let's not make this more complicated than it is fun.

I know we all fear the 'noob' clans, but we've always sniffed them out before without too much problem.

On the other hand, I'd like to see a way to get all clans to cb each other... at least twice... There are clans that hardly ever cb with anyone at all, so why are they here? If you register, the most logical thing to do is to CB ! -plus it'smm FUN !

I can understand that different schedules and times between Euros, Americans, etc may make this hard... but where there is a will, there is a way !

Let's not have a dull League.. let's CB people...

So I vote to eliminate those clans that simply refuse to cb most anyone all season long!

I think the idea is in the right place, but it will never happen Tiro.  Only way that goes down is if clans need to apply and be approved in a more strict manner and a set season is put forth.  At the point you'll see many, including myself, find the exit door.  There is no sense having a league where the complications, restrcitons and rules exceed the level of fun.

I want to be able to CB because I want to and have time to, not because the league says so.

With that said, I think we are making great progress, even just with letting clans cb more often.  I think it will lead to more CBs, even if they are at small stakes.  Well, at least that's how I envision it working for my clan.

Well... you can make someone cb in the since that you can set up a tournament such as in Season IX and if they dont show to cb, they are disqualified... however, working on a point system , I dont think you can make someone cb.

And my thought is.. the New Clans have a chance to CB against themselves more (Tune-up) before they face alittle more seasoned Clan. Gives them time to group together as a team, before some "Elite" Team rips them a new a-hole.

The problem is, some ...newer... clans feel this weird need to come right after top clans. Perhaps they feel a need to prove themselves, but if enough sense could be planted in their minds to sit back and learn the process with other new clans (and hopefully learn the game) then I would give you  sweater with a big "M" on it.

this isnt a noob tactics thread....but since its turned into it...make the cb limit higher so the elite clans can play each other more and the noobs play each other more

The only problem I have with any cap is if clans get into the high triple digits or even quadruple digits, 50 will seem like such a petty amount it will be hard to change the balance of power.
