I shouldn't worry about it too much, Cobra. The awards are not really good representation of the whole community. for example last year i won my award with only 28 votes out of 4000 members.

I think by now everyone who plays Ghost Recon will have tried at least one of the DTD mods and knows everyone is of the highest quality seen in the game since its release. And if i remember correctly you guys have been the only ones ever to be mentioned in a game-magazine.

On a personal level, DTD was one of the reasons i bought GR after you stopped making mods for Rainbow Six and i look forward to your new mods, hopefully for Ghost Recon 2 otherwise i might have to start working harder to be able to afford a copy of VBS1 if you guys start modding for it.

You always will have my vote!

Guess we got a few jokers here eh? lol
Working too damn much lately, but I'm snowed in right now so...
Cobra, I love that banner!!
Swartsz, What you wrote there was really cool bud, makes me think about the old days. You're no slouch yourself, you do excellent work!
I agree with you though, I know there's a ton of ppl that just Dl and play mods, and never bother to sign up for a forum or anything. I was like that before I started modding, and I DL'ed every mod I could get.

Should we have our own awards? Sure if you guys want to. Just post the categories and have ppl list their votes, then take the finalists and make a poll?

ah...yes the old days....i wish i knew how to mod back in those days but had a lot of fun ( well almost 4 years of fun ) with those excellent mods like US TAC, ITD and mods from others like Sputnik Satellite and ToTT.

In all honestly, regard you as the best modding team i ever came across with that enormous flow of top quality mods, nothing like i ever seen before. I can only dream of having such a team around me to work with me on all those mod-ideas i am having lately.

Your own awards, sounds like a great idea to me, let the people vote on the best DTD mod/weapon/character. It may also get you guys a bit more in the spotlight so people do not forget who are making all those mods for them. A little PR can never hurt... Grin

LOL, yeah, that's the difference between now and then. Back then we did a lot more PR, and were hooked up with a lot more news sites than we are now. So what are you working on nowadays?

S.O.E = Special Operations Executive, Britains WWII intelligence service. For those that might be wondering what the acronym was.  Wink
