Hey guys-

Okay guys- a question -

With the fileplanet issues I can't seem to get to the download page on the host server - I am trying to get the DBL map packs  - 1, 1.5,  2,  2.5 (or whatever the correct versions are)

How can I go about getting these at this time??

 - do I have to wait until we are situated with a new site host?

please advise -

thanks much

Hi,

GameSpy  changed unexpectly a few server settings so we have to rewrite all our cgi scripts, including the Mod Downloads....

Well nevertheless you can still download all mods just go to the page of the Mac Downloads, select your mods, if you click now on the link you get a 403 error, to avoid this just copy and paste the URL via right click, then paste it into a new tab and delete the start of the url until the question mark.

E.g.:

http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/macmods/download.cgi?http://www.fileplanet.com/dl/dl.asp?planetrainbowsix/damnr6/grpostcardsv2.zip

delete url until the ? so it looks like this:

http://www.fileplanet.com/dl/dl.asp?planetrainbowsix/damnr6/grpostcardsv2.zip

This URL now will work fine.

Bye,

Mauti

to avoid this just copy and paste the URL via right click,

Sorry Mauti, but the words "right click" when describing anything to do with a Mac are just plain disgusting.  I will never EVER purchase a two-button mouse for a Macintosh.  So, until the day that Apple creates a two-button mouse, I will be sticking with the one button philosophy.  Besides, I can always hit control-click to do the same thing.  Wink

Thanks guys -

the links worked after I turned back on my browser cookies - go figure

also -

There is mention of a link that explains the concept of glitching- of which I have found that I was guilty of (only once)  but I am not sure how to avoid it being that I don't know exactly why or what it is - I know it had something to do with hiding my ass in a ditch (laying down) on the Farm Map because somone was sniping the hell out of me anytime they were able to see my ears. - I didn't return fire - I tride numerous times to crawl up to the top of the ditch to return fire but they inevitably got me - them gave me a ration for glitching - I was so ashamed of firts being a chicken and then a glitcher - which is worse??

anyway I need to find out what it is so that I don't do it iby accident anymore. Anyone know how to point me to the link?

thanks

If you're not logged in at fileplanet
the first attempt to find a file will Always result in a
"file not found message".
Close that window and click again and
your file site will come up.

It has something to do with keeping the log.
