"The government's most definitive account of Iraq's arms programs, to be released today, will show that Saddam Hussein posed a diminishing threat at the time the United States invaded and did not possess, or have concrete plans to develop, nuclear, chemical or biological weapons, U.S. officials said yesterday."

and

"The official said the report states that Hussein had the intent to resume full-scale weapons of mass destruction efforts after the sanctions were eliminated..."

And in case anyone needs any clarification, "Intentions do not constitute a growing danger," Harman said. "It's hardly mushroom clouds, hardly stockpiles," she added, a reference to administration rhetoric used in the run-up to the war.

Game over.

"Perhaps, the most important thing to remember about that which we are faced with: Fascism, at its core, is a fraud. It promises the triumphal resurrection of the nation, and delivers only devastation. Strength without wisdom is a chimera, resolve without competence a travesty."

But naturally this report like many others will have basically no effect on the American populace as the 45% that support Bush seem to not hold him accountable for anything. One starts to think that Bush could personally execute a few hundred innocent Americans and he'd still earn 35% of the vote, they just do not care what he does, just that he is Republican and supports their fundamentalist agenda.
