Today we were playing a CB against a clan who will remain nameless.

A Euro clan vs a North American clan.

On Myst's host ( Eastern Canada ) everyone had a ping between 120 and 190, including Maniac and I ( my ping was actually the highest ).

After 2 rounds, our nameless clan informs us that they want to do split hosting. The problem? On their host, they all have 20 pings, and we all have 250 pings.

We went from a host where everyone's ping was very even, between 120 and 190 from both clans, to a host where one clan had a 250 ping and the other had 20.

Pick the most even host.

On top of that, if a clan offers 80 sheep vs your 10 sheep, show them a little respect.

Typhy, mathematically, my host would have been the most fair in our cb (which is not the one Typhy is talking about).

* The added pings in GR on my host vs the ones on your host.... Mine won by about 100.

* If we changed server to mine, neo would get 200 (!!!!) better ping and still end up on 120. On my host you guys got 50 more...

So, in my european way of seeing it my host was better. Maybe we will take that into account in the next cb? We seem to be wanting the same thing.

Besides, you guys are way past needing host advantage anyhow. I'm sure next time you will agree to a split.

Actually acri, your figuring is no where near accurate. I suggest you try again for a less bias viewpoint.

And spets, we usually don't, we tested it out and got the above results thus making us not likely to try it again.

Myst would've had a 150 ping, I would've had a 250 ping, you and Neo would've had <50 pings. How is that fair?

On Myst's host, I had a 180 ping, you guys had 180 pings.

By the way, I played on your host a few days ago, for about half an hour. Despite only having a 250 ping, your host was completly unplayable.

I am working on a rule re-working for next season to make host splitting less of an annoyance. I can only hope that a problem like this one will be mediated.

You say you had 150 and 250. Neo has a steady 120 on mine.

On yours we had around 300 BOTH OF US as I recall.
Also, Mysterio said you always have 300+  ping on his host. I'm confused now. Really.

Well, whatever way you wanna win the season. I just thought you guys were above petty lag issues like that. Mysterio said (this is not an EXACT quote)  "I take offence when Neo says I killed him that round because of host advantage because I am way past needing it". We played on your lag and now we hope you will play on ours. We're trying to play RAVEN SHIELD not StarTrek. Maybe a few rounds for us without warp might actually change the score to 3-1 or something. Jesus. Cock up and give lesser clans a chance.

Just why the hell would you give any clan a easy time? Btw, you can twist it all you want, ask anyone (non-Euro) in any split CBs involving your host in RvS.
