This is for dumbasses likely myself, who act with their balls instead of their brains.

So I'm sure most of you have heard about this new ATI Overclocking utility.

Anyway, so I pick this up, on my Powerbook G4, with a 64MB ATI Radeon 9000 Mobility.

So, being the fucking moron that I am, and despite the pleas of my teammates on NF, I hold down the up arrow, until my monitor freaks out, and I bail before the thing explodes.

600% is to high to overclock a computer, especially a Powerbook.

you don't overclock anything without a fit cooling system. i would imagine a laptop is terrible for this.

Absolutely, if you've got an ATI card. Check it out over at IMG.

I believe the first time Typhy's computer froze as the numbers continued to go up and up. Typhy just force restarted it.

As you all know Typhy likes to try stupid things like making his computer so hot he could could flip it over and cook some eggs and bacon on it =D. Anyone who wants to try it go to www.versiontracker.com and get the temperature gage so you can watch how hot you're computer will get before it blows up.

Voodoo, typhy had stable success at 15% up on both of the setting. But there were distortions when using the zoom feature. I don't know anymore than that.

If I crank it up above about 15%, my screen gets weird. 15 works well for me.

I'm using it at around %10 and I think I see a small improvement. I'm going to compare the fps with it enabled and with it not enabled and then we will see.

Gotta realize that even if you double your graphics, it won't double your framerates.

I'm going to test it out on BF1942, which seems to be very graphics card intensive. May see more of a boost there.
