For friends

This is a song I wrote today about 4 friends of Naru's: Mark and Sarah and Ryan and Jessica. Ryan and Mark had been best friends since they were like two years old and they joined the war so that they could go to college. They were 18 years old. When they got home, they were gonna marry Sarah and Jessica. But in Iraq, Ryan took a shot to the leg. Mark turned around to save his friend and they both died when a grenade hit them. Naru was with the poor girls when they got the news. Jessica has since then commited suicide and Sarah has been institutionalized (if thats the word, hell im swedish)

For friends

Mark and Ryan went to war
They were in it together
To keep eachother up

Sarah waited for Mark
She was going to be his wife

Jessica longed for Ryan
Couldn't wait till he got home

   For the love that they've earned

Mark turned around for Ryan
To help his buddy up
Love kept them together
- hate blew them up

Kids are dying from families
For grudges held by few
Blood spilled by innocents
- For causes claimed untrue

   For the friends of many
   Who gave up home for war
   For friends that died for others
   For hearts that beat no more

   From us friends that hold hands
   That pray for God's acceptance
   From us that bring them flowers
