Theres been alot of talk about this lately and I was basically just wondering if anybody seemed intersted in making this mod a required mod for the DBL.  It's a great mod and it adds a new dynamic to the game.

Anyways, just a thought.

does this mod add completey new and realistic weapons? or does it simply edit existing ones? modded weapons should stay out of the game in my opinion.

I hosted about 4 hours worth of games with this mod enabled. VERY nice mod. -But In my humble oppinion, it should stay an outside mod. Reason: may of the new weaps are SO much better than the current Origmiss/mp1/DMP weapons. But I see no harm in using some aspects from the pack. -Downgraded, or in other ways fitted to not discourage the use of the old weapons.

no, it'd be more of an honour for them if (very doubtful) we take anything from the mod for the BL.

the weapons are most probably made by some PC guy anyways... packed together for Mac by =X=.

Well the map pack won't be upgraded  anymore except a small host side only(?) detail for season IX.

Personally, I think that the =X= mod should stay out of the bl. It's fun for a little while, but seems to totally unbalance the game. The RPG-7 for example takes no time aim at all, making the law completely useless. For this an other reasons (who needs a mortar anyways), I just don't think it fits in with the rest of the game.

The X mod is a horrible piece of CounterStrike crap... I will not play with this mod ever again. JESUS! These guns are WORSE than laser guns... The PDW is fucking better than the OICW... insane. Adding following kits COULD be fun:

The mortar
The Jackhammer
The M4SQUAD (with pistol, extra ammo and frags... no sensors)
Smoke grenades (May only be used if agreed with both sides due to the lag issues)
The Beretta (Standard MP5 damage but with long zoom and a bigger clip.... Definitely has it's pros AND cons compared to old guns.)

The PIAT could be considered... but... It would really change the game a lot... People skilled with OICW on long distances would all of a sudden be challenged by people with the PIAT...


The mortar should REALLY be used... mb it should replace the tac-nuke? The mortar is PERFECT for clearing out the mbc yard, which i hear was the reason the tac nuke was made.... If you shoot a mortar straight up, it comes down again! Very interesting!!

I completly disagree, the morter is far worse than the tac-nuke as far as unfairness goes.  It has a huge explosion radius and 10 rounds that can be fired very fast.  Your also the second person who said it was CS crap but I don't know where you get that from because some of these guns are actually used in real life.  And to be honest even the ret's could possibly be realistic because i think the real "Ghosts" would be able to run and shoot with very good accuracy.

I agree that the mod should probably stay out of the BL but we really could consider other weapons for future DBL packs.

If you shoot a mortar straight up, it comes down again! Very interesting!!

ok... heres my schpeel on the whole =x= mod... Even tho mauti said no upgrade coming... things change. <Period> Life has no limitations or boundries.  Now I for one am not at all interested in allowing this mod into the confines of the DBL.  For one the reticles... when you run in the game they dont move.  Rockets have 0 time to fire u just have to stop.  I also have a problem with the power of some of these guns.  I think that they are unrealistic to the world of Ghr.  Along with some of the zoom's on the guns.  For example the mmI or mII w/e is not the grenade launcher, has OICW zoom and is a small automatic pistol.  If your trying to tell me that that is realistic, then ralph nader has already won the american presidency.  I mean honestly this is a cheap weapons mod that ruins every aspect of the game and turns it into a Goldeneye run in jump around blast everything with your rocketlauncher that you can shoot in mid air while doing a double back flip.  The mortar is also an issue as Acri wants it in.  But have u noticed the kit that comes with it?  The full auto OICW zoom pistol.  So even if it was to be added in... the weaps the kit comes with should be changed.
