...and i dled both of them, installed the clear dock in the library folder of app enhancer, and went to system prefs. now how the fuck do i make it transparent? i cant figure that out.

Spike, in your system prefs, look all the way at the bottom in "Other" and there should be an icon there for the transparent dock app. Click on that and you can edit the dock prefs. If it isnt there I can hook you up with another app that works for me.
