This is maybe, oh, the 30th time I've heard this idea.

Everytime it comes up, people take it to far. It starts off as "just the clans who've won BLs", then it goes to clans who've set various records, then it goes to individule people, then we conclude that it's stupid.

I think some sort of "Hall of Fame" would be nice, starting with season 9.

*DAMN currently has 8 ladders. So far there have been 8 season. That'd be 64 winners ( well, not quite, some clans have won more than one, also, there haven't always been that many ), still, we're talking about a hell of a lot of clans.

My suggestion would be that we start a Hall of Fame at the end of season 9. It only includes the winners of the GHR and RvS team ladders.

When you take things like this to far, they become completly meaningless.

i'd like it to start from season 1... only with the mainladders of the past seasons. that shouldn't be too many clans and would honor all the former BL winners a little (not to forget about them).

It's completly meaningless if there are to many clans in it. There've been tons of past BL winners. When there are 15 clans in the BL, it becomes meaningless.

There were 20 active clans on the GHR ladder last season, and 11 on the RvS ladder. Probably about 25 active clans total.

When you're talking about 25 clans total, and 15 clans in the HoF, it becomes completly meaningless.

It's not poinless and meaningless... Yes there are 25 new clans each season... but this is to honor the clans IN THE PAST. so what if there is only 15 clans in the HOF?

Those 15 clans deserve it more then a stupid icon image. At least to be remembered.... And yeah lets also have records... top wins ever, most assholes in 1 clan.... shit i guess we would win both ;P

but seriously... It dont hurt... Just makes the new clans something to look up to if not try an beat... if there was a "most wins by 1 clan in one season" thing... then the new clans will be out there cbing 100 times a day trying to beat it...

I know that when c| broke the record for the most consecutive wins... BTs was not the only clan aiming for that goal... MOD, ZT plus a few other clans were going for it....

If you do a hall of fame KoS, NADS, and SiX need to be there. They have earned the right over years of owning and being around. There is not a person in one of those clans i dislike (except Bronto) =)  they are the some of the true vets on GameRanger. As far as individual hall of fame goes, i would say no for the sheer fact that it will cause too much bullshit, and it's hard to say who would be in there. Everyone thinks someone is the best.

Rather than clan, how about player?.... there are some pretty sweet players around - perhaps once a vote is stuck up once a season for a player that has turned the heads of the community.....  ah or some kinda shit like that

An allstar team sounds hella cool.  heres how you would do it.  The top 10 or so clans in every ladder submit 5 or so players mb less mb more w/e to the Forum.  you then devise some sort of fancy-pants way of voting and mb do US vs Europe or somthing... see who would win
or mb just number off the first place clan and 3rd and 5th players would all be on the same team and vice-versa for the other allstar team.  this sounds like a great way for players to get recognition tho... maybe *DAMN could offer some sort of ubercool icon for the people who get to participate in the cb... it could be a rather larger cb too
like 18 v 18 or 12 v 12 or 15 v 15 or 10v10 I think u get the picture or even smaller like 6v6 with substitutions... this would be a neat thing to do tho.

The last three finals have felt very much like Europe vs America to me.

cO, MoD and BTs are all stars to me. I hope they consider us to be the best Europe can muster too (clan wise, not player wise).

There are a lot of good players, Dark, but they just won't be as good when you take em out of their clan. Instead, just hail all the past finalists as stars. They didn't get that far by luck (us being an exception of course)

Acri... the game is not to see who is better or not... an allstar game is for the fun of the fans... In Baseball a couple years ago larry walker (who is not a switch hitter) turned his helmet around and batted from the other side of the plate... just to give the crowd some fun... this game would be recorded and given out by *Damn for all those interested to download and watch.  I for one am in favor of such a game!
