Excellent work!
 The only things I see wrong are the back panel upper straps, I'd just cut and copy the front straps and line them up on the back, erasing the extra similar to how you did the front. Also, the top area of the pouches should be wider, meaning there shouldn't be that gap between them. Remember that gap will be on top of the bump on the model, so it sould look like the whole pouch covers the bump on the model. But nice work!

better to share your secrets than your material  Grin   I made like 3 vets, they look a'ight.  will post a pic soon.

trying to make something in jungle/woodland flavors, I like desert camo better than woodland/jungle so I become a little obsessed with all the tan colors.

The upper part that goes over the shoulder, which is still camo, is accurate because the vest would lay on top of the camo body armor, and the armor would show on that part. If you do change it, I'd make it black or a slightly different color than the STRIKE vest, to show the 2 are seperate.
But you have taken a few very appealing steps by adding the straps with drop shadow, and giving the laces some dimension. Nice work.
