That might work if I weren't ALREADY doing that. Sad  I'm already about half-way through editing and converting all of our VHS Tapes to DVD.  I bought an analog to digital converter at the Apple Store in Durham, NC, the day I visited Harvey there.

Mind telling me the brand that makes that, and how well it worked. Rumbles in my house that parents want to get one.

Yeah, it's the Pinnacle Studio MovieBox DV.  It will convert analog to digital as well as digital to analog.  Works very well with Apple iMovie.  I think I paid about $250 for it at the Apple Store.  As an added plus, the case design for the converter was done by Porsche.

But, if you had two 30" displays and a new G5 you could finish all those movie edits so much faster. Cause, for a mere .... $10-12K you  could have the processing power of a low level avid -- in fact, you'd be running the same system Spielberg runs out of his Ranch.

I could afford it with no problem.  Getting my wife to let me spend the coin is a whole different story!

A few years ago, i've tried playing Rogue Spear and TacticalOps on a borrowed projector. It isn't that bad. the only problem is that you'd have to have a complete room dedicated for this arrangement. I had to move my G4 in the middle of the room, put mouse and keyboard on a seperate table and move the speakers of my hifi set to get the best experience. I've been located about 3 meters from the wall, and the diameter of the screen was about 4, 4.5 meters. Even programming in BBEdit wasn't bad. I could upload some video clips of this if you're interested.

Well probebly but figuring the fact that you could spend 3000 dollars like nothing whats another 3000 dollars.  But maybe I not the best person to be saying anything because all of my displays I found in the trash or were given to me so....... I not the person to give orders. O and if you do I would recomend handing that 17incher down you your favorite person that you don't know at all
