You are crazy if you think there will be another draft.  It isn't going to happen.  Period.  End of story.

And by the way, just WHO are you?  A little afraid to show yourself?

I'm assuming that this bill has not yet been passed, nor will it ever be passed.

If it does pass, God help us.

Looks like complete BS to me, but by 2005 maybe John Kerry will be president and the war will be over or something.

I would be prepared though.

follow the directions at the bottom of the email and read the bill for yourself. look at the URL. although it would be charactoristic of the current administration to lie to the very people who made its election possible, this does not look like BS. i suggest reading the article in its entirety instead of jumping to premature conclusions.

I find it hard to believe that it is total BS, mostly because of the .Gov on the link.  .Gov sites, especially the Senate's, dont seem to be the kind of sites that would be putting out exagerated information.

It's a bill proposed by, if I remember correctly, dems.

They're trying to make a point. One, Republicans are going to be unwilling to vote "patriotic" on this one. And two, this country needs a draft if we indeed to keep doing what we're doing.

Hell, what's going on with the G.I.s now and their required re-uping and extended deployments amounts to a draft. We just don't choose to think of it that way.

When suburban white kids start getting yanked out of college and sent to Iraq, then, then you will see what we saw in the lates 60's and early 70's. Chaos.

http://www.factcheck.org/article.aspx?docID=200   Its all BS, there will be no draft, yet....

One bill is?HR 163 , whose principle sponsor is Democratic Rep. Charles Rangel of New York. It has 14 co-sponsors, all of them Democrats in a Congress controlled by Republicans. The bill?was dead on arrival: it?sits in?a House subcommittee with no hearings or votes?scheduled and no action expected

You know, no one gives the Canadians enough credit. They've fought in heroicly in WWI and WWII. They stormed the beaches on D-Day, for example.

Today, while Canada's military is small, it's well equipt. More importantly, they deploy around the world in numerous peacekeeping missions. They joined us in invading Afgahnistan, where American's accidently bombed them. They use thier military with a conscious eye towards Right and Wrong - which is why you don't see Canadian's in Iraq. They know it's Wrong to be there. But, I expect, if the UN takes over administration we'll see the Canadians in there, fighting for world peace once again.

And Mysterio thanks you for knowing the truth...but we cannot speak of it. It's my duty as a Canadian to make fun of the military, Quebec, and the Government of Canada.
