saving my options in RVS

I just downloaded the new rvs patch and installed it.
Now it seem that everytime i launch the game my options
are set to default.
I tried several things like locking the ini file after i made the changes.
Nothing seems to help.
Anybody have a clue how i can save my options ?

ps  by options I mean graphic/name/keyboard etc
