Having just graduated the air is ripe with present oppurtunities, and I was thinking of asking for an airport card. But I was wondering, do I really need one? I dont have a base in my house, but the person across the street from me does. I'm going to Boston University next year, so I might get some use out of it there. Which sorta brings me to my other questions.
How good is it for gaming? What kind of speeds will I get when compared to a cable connection?

And secondly, what are the ethics of wireless internet? The people across the street me have a wireless, and ungaurded basestation, meaning that if I had a card, I could use it anytime I wanted. Is that wrong? I am technically stealing bandwidth from them, and I guess they could end up paying more. But if I have the card, I can't but help receive the signal. So whats right?

I'm gaming through my airport, and the loss isnt that big, it's barely nothing. On the other hand, my base station is like 2 m. away from the computer, so i cant say how big it would be if the base station is placed like 10-20 m. away.
