lol and in just a few weeks time i can start nagging my bestest buddies the technicians at Uni in the EpiCenter (computer suits) to put this on the three rooms of G5's we have.... that is one hell of a lot of juice, just got to remember to put my details in Wink

hey everyone.  just thought i made a few tweaks to my computer, and once the soldering iron burns heal, i'll try to get back into the community again, hopefuly with a significantly faster rig that i have nicknamed frankenputer

My G5 runs rather cold all the time....might just be that I only have ONE 1.8GHz G5 processor in there, though.  Sad

Yea, the heat became unbearable in the summer when the temperature (despite heavy air-conditioning) was able to reach 40?C on average.

a few technical facts about what F@H has estmiated.....
for mas.. there are    9278 Active CPUs
   62846     Total CPUs
and supply     7.422 Current TFLOPS

the project has reached
172297 Active CPUs
1048352     Total CPUs
and a whopping      196.253     Current TFLOPS of processing power

you can say that you computer is a part of one of the worlds fastest "supercomputers" http://folding.stanford.edu/news.html.. sence most supercoputer are just alot of CPU's clustered in one area.. well our area is the whole world... Remember.. what you are doing by allowing this program to run could save someone life one day.. including your own, your significant others, or a good friend of your.. you never know

BTW.. there is a newer ver out for mac.. you can get it here http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html  it adds support for Dual prossesor macs and also helps out with some bugs they had... make sure you update soon.

Wow, i'm still in 10th place, I haven't folded since I went on holiday and that was at the end of july...

well. i never stopped folding and now that i'm finally getting the g5 tuned, these proteins are falling like dominoes   that said i'm glad i live in wisconsin... i'm going to save a lot on heating this winter
