a_Dingo - No one really condones, but since there is nothing that anyone can do about it, it's hard to take a stance.  It's like Abortion rights in America.  No one will touch it because both sides believe they are right, and no one would dare get in the middle of it.  LIke Lone-Wolf and I both said, it's been going on for almost 2,000 years and it's basically rooted in religious beliefs.  No peace accord or land settlement is going to work.  If anything, their conflict will resemble a perpetual machine of death.  Only a beginning; no end.

I have a lot more faith in modern civilization, call me stupid but look at the direction China and Iran are begining to head in.  With new comm. technology  a wave of new opinion will be rolling into control before you know it.

Who believes what the media is playing about the middle east?

Who believes what the government is saying about torturing prisoners.

Just last night a question was asked of the USA secretary of state if he could confirm that the Australian detainees (ones that have NEVER fired against Americans or supported terrorism) had been tortured. He could not say they had not.

So is it freedom?

Ahh I see the Associated Press has been carrying on its totally biased and twisted and anti american news regarding Isreal and Iraq.

There isn't any footage that i didn't see of the israeli army not bulldozing the buildings and fields of palestinian farmers - the sorce of most of the fresh food in ramalah

They havn't got a video of the wedding that the americans didn't bomb in the country that isn't iraq. there is not any evidence of there being a wedding and it is all total fabrication. There are not witnessess including the AP who did not see the dead children and gusts at the wedding that didn't happen.

It doesnt matter whether get your information from the BBC, CNN, FOX, AP or Reuters, since you only pay attention to one side of the conflict anyways. No matter what the source, you will only see Israelis inflicting violence on Palestinians because that is what you choose to see. You choose not to see the violence palestinian extremists inflict on israeli civilians through suicide attacks and brush off the fact that it have gone down as a result of security measures like the wall/fence and incursions into gaza to destroy arms smuggling tunnels. You can get that information from the BBC, as much as from any of the american news networks.

That is Very true..... But In this conflict I think both sides are in the wrong.. They both have attact civ's. and they both need to come to some kind of peacefull agreement.. but you know that the palistines wont as long as the israeli's have weapon (and even if they don't) and the same is true for the Isaeli's toward the palistines

There is quite a bit of TV in the middle east and a lot of it comes from the US from what I understand.  The influence that I'm talking about is the international POP influence on the teenagers and young adults.  These Kids in China and Iran are getting to an age where their open opinions are influencing policy.

I was not saying that one side does not have weapons and the other does not.. Im saying either side will not throw down there weapons even if they both agreees to (and as weapons.. im not just talking about guns .. im taling about bombs and whatever they use.. and they as in either side) Like I said.. I'm not for one side or the other.. If you were alittle older you would relise what I'm saying.
