Total Annihilation was the best Real Time Strategy ever (this includes every other RTS out there, including today's). Period. End of stentance. There can be no further discussion on this subject.

Best.

Ever.

Would distributing a TA Spawn be considered piracy?  If not, i could send it to people over AIM or whatever.  Kind of a big file and i only upload at 20 kps =( but i could get to someone who has a better upload speed.

So yeah, what Alaric said.  Best RTS ever.

Heh... you guys have been missing out. For the past couple months I've been playing TA with an increasingly small group of people who love this game... while I don't quite think its the same game Starcraft is, it's a very welcome addition to the RTS genre. If we could get this game started back up with people from within this community, that would be awesome. PM me in GameRanger if you want to play!

The point of being able to spawn a multiplayer copy is to distribute it legally. I doubt anyone would have a problem with it. My question is, can you play mods on a spawned copy? If I did get back into TA, I'd like to play Uberhack, since that mod basically plugs all the balance holes in the default game.

Well I really just need a cd I think....I'm pretty sure I have TA and TA multiplayer spawn on my computer, so if someone could help me out with a cd image of some sort..,

For those of us who can no longer boot into os9...does anyone know how it runs  in osx classic or whatever?

I read a while back that it runs well in Classic. The one time I tried that, it did not run very well at all. I've got a pretty sucky machine, though.

Yeah, it runs pretty well in Classic, though there are many graphical glitches. I usually restart in OS9 when I want to play, though...

And as far as I know, mods DO work on the Multiplayer Spawn, as they share all the same data files less the SP missions.

Anyone beat the Krogoth Encounter? Its an addon mission for the Arm campaign, comes with CC.  I keep on getting mauled by the follow up to the first Krogoth attack...just cant find the right combination of weapons to keep them at bay.  Annihilators + Dragons Teeth +...?

Just curious.
