Oddball Crash message

[ogre_h]

I went back to one of my compliation mods and I get a CTD.
When I check the IkeCrash.log I find these errors:

RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file ike_fx_fire_type2.tga
RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file ike_fx_fire_type2.rsb
Unable to find ike_fx_fire_type2.tga anywhere.
RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file lighthalo_effect3.rsb
RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file lighthalo_effect3.rsb
Unable to find lighthalo_effect3.rsb anywhere.

I can't find these files anywhere. Any idea what causes this?

Believe it or not, the ike file looks like that all the time on my system too. THose files are effects files for map features like fires, etc. I don't know why GR is like that but I can say it's normal. Look at the other ike file, that one usually has the correct crash problem info.

I'll go through it again, but it just seemed to be a list of the dll's it was calling.

It was just a list of dlls that were either being called or were active.
The log didn't tell me what in GR was causing the crash.

There's Ike_crash and Ike, the ike file is the one which gives you the best info.

ogre, it's been my expierience that crashes like those you described are due to missing tags in atr or gun files.

ie missing < or/ etc.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking, as the Ike file gave me nuthin'.
It's just gonna be a pain going through everything.

yeah, that's my favorite part, lol hunting down bugs. I just love to spend hours looking at lines of text!

I found the f@ckin thing! My C_unlockedhero file got corrupted somehow.
I had to do a complete remove and re-install. Fortunately I have a spare file on another system. But that was really frustrating!
