Shoutcasting would work for Ghost Recon...I dunno if anyone cares tho...

Wouldn't have to worry about bandwidth or cheating because the shoutcaster could just use the replay for the commentary...just an idea. meh

Well, we dont have to shoutcast RvS cause of the rules. No dirt on my shoulders. This isnt doomed to fail. Your just being negative. If it were doomed to fail, there would be no shoutcasting for PC games, but as we all know there are more then 1 shoutcasting sites out there for PC matches so yes it can work. I guess if you wanna have your match shoutcasted u have to sacrifice some stuff. As i see it, shoutcasting will work for....GhR, AA, MOHaa, CoD (when it comes out), and RvS. But hell, if you dont wanna get shoutcasted in RvS aint no thang, ill find some1 who does wanna get shoutcasted.

Yep, I'm probably just as wrong about this as I was when I predicted how many AA CB's would be held the first season, or the second.

hahahahahaha not funny. I can tell you why there arent many AA matches. One, there were only 5 clans, Two, 3 of the clans were Euro! That means its kinda hard to play them do to time difference. Bucc, ive got nothing against you but please dont plague MSN with the negativity that youve allready posted here.

I don't need the reasons, I said them all long ago.  You, on the other hand, was sure it was going to take off.

To get back on topic here....i just got everything working so i can no talk Live. Now to answer the question that everyone wants to know...how do i keep people from listening to me while they are warring to find out where people are? Simple, on the software im using i can see whos connected to me and if i see anything suspicious, i boot them. Plus, half the time i wont tell where people are...its not needed in the shoutcast. And no clan should be that deperate to have to listen to me to win. Im going to start accepting shoutcast requests at the beginning of the BL season 8 on May 6th. To prerequest, email me at rebel@killersonspree.com. Those people who have a certain time in which they will war will have first priority then those who are "spur of the moment"

As for flames, the only one close here to that is you.  All I've done is express an opinion with reasons, none of which were flame worthy.

Ive tested my software and have gotten the hang of things so im fairly close to being ready. Im gonna give it a test on some kind of CB soon so if you wanna get shoutcasted catch me on GR and just ask!

How, exactly, are we going to listen to the ShoutCast?

And where can I listen to the ShoutCast?

Well basically, right now im developing a website for the whole deal but im still doing shoutcasts. What you need to do is either hop on GR and listen to one live ( i will have a chat room up describing the live shoutcast which will have a link to the itunes stream) or u can DL the shoutcasts when i get the site up and running. The only thing i really need right now is web space. I have no money which makes things tough.

Just wondering Guysr re the shoutcasting... Im getting the feeling some clans understandably are slighly worried about the fact that this is the constant opportunity for people to 'listen in' and feed invaluable information to one or either of the teams involved in the cb... To remove this can i suggest a 2minute delay on the shoutcast? It would eliminate the problem as people just wouldn't have a chance to correlate the information given the time gaps....

Not sure if this is possible etc.... Also out of curiosity what kit are u using for these shoutcasts?!

Oh and well done :mod:muzzy and biggy and, Koon and Priest for getting the first shoutcast done!!

BFG, i have recently emailed a highly successful pc shoutcasting group about how they control this factor. As of now there is a delay on when i speak and when it receaches my listeners...if i had to guess it would be able a 30 second - 1 minute delay based on where they are located. I know this by asking questions do listeners during pregame and then timing how long it takes them to answer. When i find out how the PC world controls this factor i will reply.

Thats cool rebel, hell 30 seconds is going to make quite a difference. We were just interested as to what exactly you were going to say on the shoutcast and how much you refer to locations etc... I guessed there would be a certain amount of delay between u seeing whats going on, saying somthing, it being processed and then streamed out, but i reckoned that could be anything between a couple of seconds and at least 45

ps. great job last night i hope a lot more people sign up to have u shoutcast their games - and as you get more familier with the clans and the specific players - just as sports commentators do with the teams, i can see it going from strengh to strengh!

pps.. dont' forget to get the lastest mappack updates lol
