Ubisoft Announces Ghost Recon 2 for PC

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - April 8, 2004 - Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, today confirmed development of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon? 2, the long-awaited sequel to the best-selling modern military shooter that changed the online multiplayer experience for both PC and console fans around the world. With this title and two other key announcements to come in the next few days, Ubisoft is expanding its lineup of war games to every segment of the military category, from historical to near future, and aggressively positioning itself in the competitive war games market which accounted for 5 out of the top 10 shooter franchises in 2003. The Ghost Recon? franchise contributed greatly to the strength of this segment with more than 5 million copies sold worldwide.

Developed by Ubisoft's award-winning Red Storm studio, Ghost Recon 2 launches on next-generation consoles and PC this Holiday season. ah, now then, the 10 minutes I just spent rolling around on the floor in mortal danger of laughing myself to death has given me some time to do some thinking.

This could actually turn out to be a good game.

Assuming they get rid of the friggin edge glitches and the laser guns I might actually enjoy playing it. I loved the maps and tactics of ghr, I just didn't care for the glitchy/buggy nature of the game or the disgustingly unreal/unbalanced weapons.

No, I play on a PC...what I meant is that they will release an incomplete product (with major delays) with serious gameplay issues that won't be resolved until they are close to releasing an expansion pack. Then and only then they will get their acts together hoping to draw people back so they can successfully sell their xpac.

They fucked up Raven Shield bad, pissing almost everyone off, and it wouldn't surprise me to see the same thing happen here.
