Questions about RvS Finals extension

Don't you think someone owes the community some explaination why the Finals are over and no RvS winner has been named?  Ghost town over here--tumbleweeds blowing thru.  I am pretty curious, fill us in!   Are you trying to resurrect the corpse of core?  I have a few of their heads and limbs in my trunk you can sew back on.

Yep, someone does.  I can't wait to see it.  Try asking the Admin from your clan PsyOps.

The point psyops is trying to make I believe is, we've already seen it bucc.  We handed core their limbs on a platter.  There was no confusion as to who was and is the better team in our opinion.  Where the confusion lies is in bringing back a defeated clan.   A clan we "eliminated" quite easliy and which was done so by the rules (one of the few things this season in RvS that was), and making us play them again so everyone else is happy with the outcome.  Is this a battle league or HBO?  Is this being promoted by Don King or something?  Because this smells fishy to me.  

But if the final decsion is that we have to battle someone again, namely core because its the only thing that makes any sense if any, then so be it.  We beat them before, we can do it again.  How this resolves anything is beyond me.  If we were to battle BoC, they would have to include players who werent even a part of their regular season because of the 4 vs 4 default, explain how that's right?   So core is the clan to breath life back into for this staged battle so that the rest of you can feel good about the way this ends.  

Part of me just wishes this season would just die peacefully, to salvage what dignity remains and truly and completely play it out by the rules...not only when it comes to punishing a clan or banning a clan for their actions, but rewarding a clan too for their accomplishments.  Of course we were looking forward to cbing MP5 or BTs, but that cant happen now...this season is over.  Although dull, its the rules that make it so.  Here's an idea, lets look forward to next season.  Certain clans wont be there, but new ones will (with old members perhaps).  Its exciting to think about, lets just get there and learn from this and do what best...MOVE ON.  Next season will be intense and new and exciting, I'm looking forward to that more than beating a dead horse here any longer.  In all seriousness, this RvS ladder is just a baby, let's not abuse it.

OK you have Finals brackets consisting of four teams.  1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd.  1st eliminates 4th and should face the winner of 2nd and 3rd.  2nd and 3rd become disqualified (and hence eliminated both from their first finals match and the potential winner of that is also disqualified from the final finals match).  1st v disqualified winner of 2nd v 3rd = 1st wins.

So what exactly is the nature of this debate?

How can any possible outcome other than c| wins be justified?

My admin clan leader doesn't tell everyone the inner workings of the DBL admins and it possibly is wise he doesn't post on the Damn forum while this issue concerning his clan is being de-resolved by internal admin discussions.

Can admins be suspended or banned for refusing to let Finals end by the deadline and for cloaking the proceedings in secrecy?  How is this so different than getting a finals cb extension or refusing to accept said extension--all are unnecessarily stalling the finals.  c| was standing by all finals weekend waiting to cb anyone who wasn't already eliminated by us.  We waited and waited and waited and finally the Finals deadline passed and not  a word from the admins and no clan showed up to cb us for the title.  The finals are over.   Cant any of you admins start an explainatory thread about this so I can stop asking all these question?

To give you some sort of idea of what is being discused Ill say this.

This is un-offical:

Collective and Core continue in the Finals. A best of 5 matches, with Collective clan ahead 2-0. You have untill the end of this coming weekend to finish it.(more detail later)

This was a sort of middle point we all could agree on(sort of). Collective knew that they had to clan battle another clan in order to win the battle league, so we thought it was only fair they battle Core again. On the other hand Core was eliminated already so to compensate that we gave c| a 2 - 0 lead in a best of 5 matches.

So Core, I suggest same time and place as last time for Saturday.  that would be between 11am-12pm PST (can't remember what it is your time).  If we need to go to Sunday we need to be careful, because it's daylight savings time in the US, and if I remember correctly, it is not in Europe.  I remember this happened with a cb between c| and Virus back in the day.  Can you verify if it is Daylight savings time or not where you guys are?

4v4 or more.  Dutchman's host worked the best for our guys last time, so that would be preferable.  Pyroman will be out of town, but he may or may not leave his server available.  Either way we need to line up a US server, which I guess is more our problem than yours.  Anyone who would be able to donate a US server would be greatly appreciated.

Core, If you have anything to add, please do.  Otherwise, we'll see you there.

This was the decision in the admin section:

• Final 2: Collective vs Core
• Match Setup: A best of 5 matches to be play. Collective ahead 2 - 0
• Time Frame:Finals extended to the 12th and to end at 3am EST

Short and sweet and to the point. I can assume that you guys can find and agree on a time to get the cb's done since you have nearly 2 weeks to finish them. If a time can not be agreed on the Collective Admins with decide when and what time that they will be played, then there word will be final.

That said, good luck to both your clans. God speed, and lets pray your clan battle will bring closure to this hectic season!

It's actually just 1 week.  c| was ready to go this weekend, but unfortunately core had most of it's members out of town, so we agreed to tack on another week.  So next Saturday will be a cb 'stravaganza!

No cutter. After every season there is about a 3 - 4 week rest period. Not to mension I think Elandrion and Mauti are finishing up the FFA ladder scripts. The new season will start shortly.
