So this looks like a new one.

In a round on Shallow Creek, Lone-wolf and Myth are having a shootout.  Myth is just to the right of a tree.  Lone-wolf tries to shoot him, but gets nothing but the familiar dirt burst in mid-air.  From Lone's point of view it looks like the geometry of the tree extends beyond what is drawn on the screen.  He is shooting Myth in the head, but getting nothing but the dirt bursts.

Replay here:  http://www.thecollectiveclan.com/c_vs_01_tree/c_vs_01_tree.rpf

will have to do a save as to download the replay.

Here is a screenshot:

http://www.thecollectiveclan.com/c_vs_01_tree/Snapshot_29.jpg

This is of no fault to Myth, but due to a flaw in the game, Lone-Wolf was unable to get a kill which to all of us looked like he should have easily had.  He was shooting Myth directly on in the head, yet still getting the dirt burst.

We're not looking to overturn the match.  It was a geniunely good CB.  We're just looking to replay the round, so I'm sure we can all stay nice and happy on this one.

I've watched this replay many times and from every angle. The only time I see those dirt bursts are in the view angle of the screen shot.  My conclusion would be that Lone-Wolf is hitting the tree that is between us in the field.

I've had similar experiences on every map. I've learned to except this as part of the game.

I would like to point out that I killed Lone-Wolf on my first shot. So if there was something in the way wouldn't I have hit it too?

OK guys, Admin desision for this problem was as follows:

After viewing the replays to the game we were of the opinion that there was no 'gliching' from any member within the cb, and that myth was at no fault. The reason he wasn't hit was due to the very unfortunate and annoying way the trees are done in GhR - where there can be invisible elements around the edges of the trees - which are part of the tree but totally invisible as i see (or don't Wink ) it.

Anway back to the point. The only issue we had was that this replay did not work on the Offical *DAMN BL WZ mode... and it required a file courtesy of splinter in order for us to view it.

In Future and is is for all clans, please if you are hosting make sure you have correctly installed all the required *DAMN Gamemodes and map packs.

Final decision was that the CB would be approved and counted. Sorry for delay on a decision

Thanks Smiley

Thanks for the quick decision guys.  We thought this was a great cb and we're really grateful to c| for being cool about a fuzzy situation IMO...

Now, onto another important subject.  Being that the season ends in a few hours [01] would like to be awarded our points for the Team CB win over z][t.  What's the hold up?  I for one just watched this replay for the first time last night and I'm sorry, there's no way this is even close to a glitch on Revolt's part, we all know that.  [01] would like to be given an opportunity to make one last charge at the finals and this can only happen if we are awarded the points we deserve...How long does a decision by the admins like this usually take??

Question-  how many teams make the finals?  I realize last season, because it was so short and everyone being unprepared for it, only 4 teams were allowed in.  Are we going back to 6 teams like normal?  This was a great season and I personally feel there are at least 6 clans, if not more, who can win it all and we should be given that opportunity.

Thanks, later fellas...

Once again c|, I think this was one of the best cb's I've had an opportunity to play in, Thanx.

Now I have a question about the mission file/ game mode.
I'm not sure as to why mine may be different. I had updated everything(as far as i can tell) the day before this cb. I would like to update again. So could someone post the correct update file for me so I can make the change.

Thanx again all,
