I, too get this sometimes, but I get in the room more than not. Just a small bug that isn't fixed yet I presume.

Shark before u think its a bug do me a favor and check ur system prefs/network. Sometimes ur IP can change ( from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2 or somethin ). Its happened to me before and it messes with my router forwards. If all of that is in check then go off and send aspyr an email....trust me they listen.

I get the samething sometimes.  I found sometimes (most times) it happens b/c the server is switching b/w maps.  So what I do is this: When you get the error simply click on the green check mark and then click on JOIN IP at the top of the main server menu (I think that is what its called, its the blue background screen with white text) and then click on the green check mark again.  This refreshes the join and most times I find it works.  Note, sometimes I have to do it 2x and if it doesnt work after the 3rd time, generally its b/c the server aborted the hosting and you will see when u head back to GR.  Hope this helps, let us know.
