Hello dudes,

Stevie and me, we have a stupid problem.
We try tto communicate on GR via Voice - I chatrooms or Gameroos ( which are not started ) it works nice.

But when we start a game - we cant hear eachother ( yes we used the right keys for global chat and team chat ) sometime we hear noises of eachother, but they are brocken - we cant understand what the other has said.

The game we tried this is RavenShield.

So any Idea how to solve this?

I use Panther - and Imic for my Micro.

Thx for help.

Your microphone must not be as compatible with GR as some of the others, try talking with Evill personally about it.

Alos, make sure that netfone prefs arnt interfearing with the gr voice prefs. Also make sure the host has port 16000 open if behind a firewall or router.

I've only noticed that team voice doesn't work ingame.  I've only been able to talk with voods using global voice.  Anyone else having this problem with team voice?

I have no netfone installed - And the microphone I use a standarf Microphone pluged into IMic - It also works outside the games perfectly.

So I dont think it is comatibility issue.
The port could be.

I also realized that I could hear others quite good - but on an otther host then stevies - so is more realistik that the port is the problem.

Thx - if anyone else has an Idea - I will be glad to hear some tips.

Thx again

You're not a man without *NADS.

If you can hear anything at all, it's not about ports. Sounds like a buggy latency/bandwidth problem to me.

Two problems I've noticed with it.

1) Apps that use your mic don't play nice together.  I can't have NetFone, KDX, GR, iChat, etc open at the same time, if they are looking at the same mic.  For some reason, the mic gets fuxored (I usually end up sounding like Alvin the chimpmonk.  As long as I set those other apps to look at a different mic, I'm fine.

2) A lot of people are having problems because the keys they use.  Many of us switched our talk keys to control and option, but RvS uses the control key.  So you have to go in and change the RvS mappings so it doesn't.
