I just read in an article on Inside Mac Games that Aspyr is about to realease activision's "Call of Duty" for mac.  I know that it isn't a real tactical shooter like we all here know and love but I for one am shitting bricks I am so exited.  I mean it was created by the same people that made "Medal of Honor"  which I think is a really great game.  I mean even if we don't get all the games PC's get we deffinatly get some of the best at least.

Aspyr announced the port at the Expo about 2 weeks ago. It's scheduled to be released in April.

Call of Duty is the game that has taken over my life recently. First off, let me all assure you that CoD will not make you buy a new computer. Let me give an example.

On my pc, I have never dropped below 60 fps with every graphic on high and at a 1280 x 1024 resolution. On Halo, I average 10 fps with the same settings and resolution.

CoD has a great graphics engine, and brings many new things into the first person shooter genre. First off, Kill Cam. A great function which can be turned on in public, and off during clan wars (or on whatever you want) which shows a 5 second clip of the person that killed you, and how he killed you. It's a great way to learn your mistakes and also pick up on the other team's strategy.

COD is the first game since rs where i find myself lossing the time playing, with hoyurs passing by. The game is just that damn good. I'm sure you won't be dissapointed and you should all write aspyr a thank you card for porting this for you guys.  

Can't wait for april to play you guys.

what are the specs for your pc before you go around saying stuff like that?  Not to be offencive.

I have a 2.6 ghz P4 w/ 800 mhz fsb, 512 RAM, and GeForce FX 5600. but the specs of my computer show no relevence to how good of a graphics engine CoD has. I have 6X better the framerates in COD then I do in Halo with the same specs ...... that tells alot by itself.
