Well, another renovation by Microsoft has come to par by having Virtual PC now included in the MS Office package.  Originally it seems that Microsoft was gonna discontinue the Office for the Mac.  Now that they own Connectix it seems that they have now had a renewed life for our lovely Mac's and have incorporated Virtual PC into the new version of Office which is already on the shelves.  Only for about $499.  you can have Virtual PC and Microsoft Office.  sad huh?  In either event, what do ya guys think about that lovely intervention?

Virtual Pc.... If it was Faster (by about %100) and could actually recognise System hardware like the god damn graphics card... and the graphics card. Oh yes and the GRAPHICS CARD then i might use it a little more - it certianly can be very usefull for opening exe 's ect...

i would like to be able to run VPC and it recognise my graphics card though as well Wink

Sab, looks like you'll have to look to VirtualPC 8 before you'll get that.  In about a year ver. 8 will be completely optimized for the G5 and have hardware support.  According to www.macosrumors.com anyway.

The fact that no application has hardware support boggles the mind. Pehaps its just another conspiracy.

Oh, actually I was just mentioning it but I dont use Virtual PC myself.  I have a PC for all my porting needs and whatnot.  i dont like to corrupt my Mac with too many Microsoft products.  Makes my poor Mac choke on all the bullshit the company Microsoft represents.  As for not recognizing the card, well, it dosent suprise me, but then again that I am not sure exactly how the new version of Virtual PC will be since I am assuming you are referring to the version not associated with Microsoft Office at the moment.  Just like Direct X support was taken out of version 3.0 they could posibly do the opposite and let it support the Mac graphics card, but I doubt it.  Sad
