no easy day crash on mission start

hi

i just reinstalled everything but i cant play no easy day at all.
as soon i hit the button to start the mission it crashes to the
desktop.

i installed the french version of ghost recon, then desert strike,
then patch 1.3 and patch 1.4 for ghost recon and a patch for
desert strike (some actor thing).

then i installed no easy day and activated the mod. i select my
team for the first mission, but as soon it starts the game crashes
to the desktop. besides no easy day, only desert strike is active
as mod.

using windows xp us (no service pack) on a 2.66 ghz / 1 gb ram
shuttle ss51g. been playing ghost for monthes with plenty other
mods and it did not crash alike.

i have the following file to install no easy day :
d_no_easy_day_full.exe

so i guess i dont have the 1.2 version : will that 1.2 patch
fix my trouble ? (looks to be for MP games but i'm just trying
to play the missions in solo)

Hi,
the problem is that although Easy Day has been posted as GR/DS mod it also requires the Blackhawk model from Island Thunder so IT is also required to play all missions with a chopper insertion.

ps: Coco may you should add the chopper in a patch later or at least change the requirements to IT.

AHHHHH forgot that chopper was in IT. I'll change the requirements unitl it can be patched.

Hey guys Im having the same problem as mentioned above, but I have IT installed.  But i have the GR1.4 update, is that what is giving me problems? I also tried activating and not activating IT in the MOD area.

Any help is apreciated.

Got the same problem... IT and DS installed and activated, GR patched to 1.4
As soon as i start the first mission GR crashes to desktop...

any suggestions how to solve the problem... maybe another weird thing that occurs can help you with finding the problem... at the equipment screen i can not choose any weapons kit... there isnt a single one... the soldiers dont carry any weapons...

would be very glad to play the mod... i heard its great... hopefully you can help me with my problem...

I didn't install the second file (doh, im stupid) thought the first would install it itself because it told me that installation was complete....  

Now it works... the mod is really nice only one thing... is it normal that most of the m4 rifles sound as if they were silenced?? even the m4 with scope...

Hey all, have same prob. but i have looked at the ike file that is generated for each crash and some are different. I have found that files are mising like in this one:

RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file ike_fx_fire_type2.tga
RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file ike_fx_fire_type2.rsb
RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file lighthalo_effect3.rsb
RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file lighthalo_effect3.rsb
Unable to find lighthalo_effect3.rsb anywhere.
RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file v_t62d0.anm

stuff like that but then I have also seen some of them like a node is stuck...then gives cooridinates. next time i get that one i will post it as well. now i have had probs w/the no easy day plus the other one Israeli Defense Forces. Now I have all the latest updates for GR, i also have ds and it and i still get these crashes. I have done the core install and it still crashed then i uninstalled that one and redid the full install still crashed then i reapplied the patch and yet again still a crash, its a real bumr. hope it can be fixed.

PLEASE post only in the NED bug report thread ppl..
As for the contents of the ike file you posted, that's actually normal to see in an ike file, nothing there is a reference to a NED file. Please read through the bug report thread and post there is your questions are not answered!
