It's now official, there will be a dedicated *DAMN BL server for the finals. This is a Euro based G4 running GR and GhR exclusively on a 2MBit SDSL line.

I invite every clan that wants to use this server for a CB to ask one of our BL server admins, so they can set up the game.

So uh, does this mean that all finals games are being played on here, seems a bit unfair to the usa clans when playing euros.

maybe we could give sar's host a test for the US side, he's on  acollege line, and if needed maybe the MP server, just some suggestions.

This is just an alternative for 2 clans that can't agree on a server since I'm told Elandrion has a great host for both Euro and US players.

I have set up .::|N| Server 1 as a dedicated server that has already been used in CB's without problems at all.  It will be available for Finals CB's as well if anyone needs it.  It is a 1.5+Mbps Cable line based out of Safety Harbor, Florida, U.S.A.  The system is also a G4 800Mhz w/ 1G Ram.

To gain access to .::|N| Server 1, please visit this thread to find out how to do so.  The .::|N|etwork offers this server to all finalist clans as well as all others who wish to resevere room.

Please post all questions as a reply to the above thread.  An admin of The .::|N|etwork forum will respond within 24hours.

As always, the MP servers are available for the asking.  Catch any of our members online, or email us at mp@macclans.com

|MP|Server2 has just been upgraded to a G4 933 with 1.5MB RAM.  It's located in Detroit (Eastern time zone) on a real T1 line.

If you are real lucky, you'll catch |MP|Server1 running on the new G5 dual 2GHz.

I'm also very glad to see all the dedicated servers out there.  Just being on dedicated servers will help to reduce the lag.

Thanks for providing these server options for finalists, I think they will be very helpful to finalists hoping to get some lag free Cb's.

i just played in the *DAMN server and it has a 218 ping in my area

it was a little laggy

it had 19/27

i am on the west coast

how do you save replays on a dedicated server? sorry im not familiar with dedicated servers and how to do stuff like that on em :-P

I don't see much point in playing on ded servers, for the finals, cause if you can't get replays, then you have no proof of people glitching, and you can easy set your whole team up in glitches or soemthing. I'm not trying to start flames here, but i disagree with the not being able to save replays, i think that for the finals, they should have to be saved by the host.

Well, if that's what you think your team wants to do then fine.  Don't forget, you can always take screen shots.  I think it's tacky to assume that if people play on dedicated servers, that they are going to cheat due to the lack of replays.  I don't think the people out there in GhR land are that shady.
