I feel exactly the opposite of you.

First, how many actual cases of cheating have we seen in Ghost Recon?  One.  All those replays for one actual cheater.

Second, if it's a rule, then there go the really big CB's.  Because dedicated servers tend to go out the window if the host (like Ace or me) have to sit around and save replays.  Face it, big CB's are more fun, and most people couldn't host the 6v6 that was played on MP Server 1 last night.

So I'm against it.  I'm against replays at all unless cheating is actually suspected.

Hey Bucc.. If you look at the new rules put in place this season....

So yes you are supposed to be there if someone need to have the replay.

All rules can be modified if both clans agree to it.

If you agree to play on a dedicated server, you are agreeing to no replays.

I think the time limit in which they need to be sent in is a little tight, 10 mins for 8 replays can be tricky and if anything goes wrong there goes the cb?  that's a little bogus

, a lot of electricity because of all these computers taking up extra energy just so their masters can post extra complaints, etc, etc, etc.

Acctually if you put your computer on twice in one day, it is more electricity conserving to just have it on 24/7  Smiley

And if you have it on 24/7 get SETI@home!, lets hunt down some aliens..

Replays, they are a pain in the ass. The fact that a whole cb can be voided cause you forgot to save one replay....scary. I forgot to save 2 replays in our [one] cb, but they were good sports about it  Smiley

I agree with Bucc on this issue and the

isn't a rule!!! It's just a notification so everybody knows that the replay can't be saved if the admin isn't there.

Also to send all replays is time consuming for lower  internet connections. I only ask for replays if we had an extreme fun game or I smell something fishy but that's it.

Bye,

What I'm against is people just getting replays after each and every single game.  1) it's a pain in the ass.  2) it's just one more thing to bitch about if someone makes even an honest mistake in not mailing one or the mail not getting through, 3) it's just less fun, 4) see the afore mentioned reasons about large CB's and dedicated servers.

If you think someone is cheating, that's one thing, but it feels like everyone wants them all the time.  It's like they want to go through them and find another way to win or something, or an automatic win if they don't get them all.

It's a crock.

It's also why I think this season is starting out less fun and more uptight.  Fuck the replays, have some fun.

I have a rule that might be interesting... The winner has 24 hours to send replays... or... Loser can only ask for replays if they confirm cb?    This whole replay thing should NOT be allowed to ruin games. If you notice post-submission that they glitched... THEN report it to BL admins.

Anyhow, 24 hours is not too much considering.

Let's say I cb and I'm starting to get late to work... and the afternoon I have to go to my old aunt with struma... 24 is just enough.

In my oppinion the most optimal solution for this "problem" would be that all the cb's were played on a dedicated neutral host and neither clan would get to see the replay, if something fishy happened a admin could look at the replay.

Since this would only be possible in the country of not-gona-happen in the city utopia...cb's will continue to be played on either of the clans host, and since the host clan has the advantage of getting the replays its only fair that the other clan gets them too...

But a longer timeframe would be cool, 10min's can be tricky specially if you like to enjoy fresh air trough a filter after the game...30min?  Wink

Joka, I want to go to the country of "not-gonna-happen".  Forget about the replays and just play the damn game. =D
