I imagine that missionstats.htm is so that dedicated servers can post the mission stats real time...no? yes?

Anyway, id like to know how this is possible (if it is).

To be more specific...If i were to want ppl to be able to see the mission stats from my game in real time, how do i do this?

In MacOS9 you just activate WebSharing and select the Ghost Recon Data folder as shared folder and set the mission.htm as start page. That's it. Now the people only have to go to http://youripnumber and see the missionstat.htm in realtime.

OS X uses the Apache webserver.  Your question is a little more complicated for OS X versus OS 9...

Go to your home directory and look in the "sites" folder.  There is an index page in there...  view it / open it in a browser.  Complete instructions are there.  What will be most useful for you there is the "sidebar" right hand article within the article called "Quick Start Guide to Personal Web Sharing".

The realtime sharing/publication of a document not in your server's root document area  can be done but it is a tad involved to discuss.    I'll try and help but try to serve up a web page first - that's half of "it".

     You could just make an alias from the missionstats file to the sites folder, or if Apache doesn't like that, you could move the file to the sites folder and make an alias back to where GhR expects to find it. If neither alternative works, I'd bet that a hard link would. Hopefully you won't have to get into Apache voodoo; aliases may be enough.

unfortunately i don't believe you can apply any formating or styles to the missionstats.html file.
An idea for any current clan webpage would be to just make an iframe and have it link to the file.

in the past i've thought about making a stat tracking program for individuals, but i just didn't care enough.
