This is the basis of my next project. Its called Russian MVD Green Reed. I found it at this site http://pvtpyle.com/russian%20and%20warsaw_uniforms.htm which has a ton of east block swatches. Not all of 'em are usable, but its been good for ideas.

Ok, next questions: How do attachments work? Can older models (ie original GR models) use attachments. or can only IT models use 'em?

Ok, I've finally had some time to work on a desert uni for Guram
This is an "in progress" shot. The new camo is on his legs an arms. An older camo pattern I was working with is on his chest and under his vest.

Ok, I decided to give Guram long sleeves and a darker vest.

Ok this is just a cheap conversion. Buzz and Henry had the same legs, so I decided to give 'em both Tigerstripe legs. Thank God for Wildcat's PSDs

I'm trying to make up Camo templates like Wildcat made. Its harder than it looks.

These are a few of the camo templates I've been able to make. I tried to follow the model Wildcat set up. I used the shirt, legs, and arms templates from Ruin's tutorial, and added pockets and other small details.
In the top sample are Russian Brown and Blue VSR, Blue Tiger, Bierut Security(blue red white), Russian Desert (tan & green), and Irish DPM. At least that's what the website I found 'em on called 'em.
In the second sample are "Urban Desert", Russian MVD Reed Blue, Egypt Desert, Russian "Smog", and Russian Tiger Stripe.


If anyone wants, the compressed pac of templates is about 15mb. I'm going to see if I can find a site to host 'em.

Awesome job ogre. I really am a fan of Russian kit too. You should make a skins mod that replaces the Ghosts with their counterparts. I'd surely dl it.

Right now I've made a Russian uniform template, basicaly the different pants and sleaves, and am creating the camo patterns for that template, the ones I posted earlier were for American based unis. The idea of a mod is pretty attractive. I just have to figure out which characters, aside from astra and guram, to base the "new" specialists on. Add that each character has to have three uniforms, it starts to add up, but it looks doable.
Right now everything is in PSDs, I did a few mock-ups and found the textures were too bright in game, so I had to darken them all. If I have time tonight I'll try to build the structure of the mod. If you guys have requests re character model/texture combo I'll be happy to consider them.

I think the blue based unis will look better in an urban environment
Here are some shots of the desert tiger unis. One is based on a russian template and looks faded compared to the American template. I was thinking of making scout/sniper pairs with similar unis






Are the desert boots ok, or should I use black?
