The implications of the c| and BT's Leagues

Just interested to see what people think about the new Leages set up by c| and BT's.
When the c| FFA ladder first started up I noticed a huge decrease in cb's over the weekend - when there were often a great many.
And it still remains the case. There appears to have a been a recent decline in the number of cb's played. Perhaps this is partly as people like to try out a new thing, or are people becoming bored of the old regular 3v3 or 4v4 cb games?
I certainly welcome the addition of a siege Leage, its a great game type and perfect for teams... But how much is this all going to affect the DAMN battle league?
Its worth noting that at the time of my writing this there are fourteen clans regestered on DAMN who are yet to participate in a CB this season, and the actual compertition for the top places is reduced to a relativly small number of clans.....

Well, my intention with creating the FFA league wasn't at all to compete with the DAMN battle league. I'm not sure about everyone else, but there are lots of times when c| has a hard time finding CBs, or as many as we'd like (we got a lot of blood thirsty guys on our crew
). I've always loved FFA games, so I figured lets give people something else to do when there aren't that many CBs around. Anyone from any clan can just jump in, no coordination needed. I also wanted people that aren't in clans the chance to compete on a ladder as well.
I think the reason CBs dropped off that first weekend was because it was something new to do. We had about 50 matches that weekend. I think the newness of it all has worn off a little, since then things have leveled off to about 4 or 5 matches a day now, and it looks like regular old CBs are starting to pick back up.
To me the prize is still winning the DAMN BL. that's what c| is certianly shooting for. the FFA league to me is just an alternative game to play and blow off a little steam. I wanted to keep the match rounds short (20 minutes total), so it wouldn't suck up too much time away from possible CBs.

well put it this way, this shows u *DAMN isnt the only one making CB tourny's. Even tho *DAMN has the experiense.. obviously the players could care less. SO far i really like the BTs league for having a ton of diff types of game styles + their BL is set up better than *DAMN. Hell who knows if damn loses interest in their CB's whats next? whos *DAMN?? O well, i really like other leagues that are opening up that look professional. Or try. Un like Snipeys attemp =) nj Snip.
Then agian. i dont like the idea that peeps with 50 + accounts think they know everything in the BL. O well, try to keep up with the times mauti.

we set up our league because we think our ladder system is better than *DAMN's
at one point you'll realize that too, and it'll all be posted on our ladder. Plus, there's less maintenance so that gives BTs_ the opportunity to CB, and not worry about updating points like Mauti does. I hope you all like it, cause ti's THE WAVE OF THE FUTURE!

Well...
We just needed a new updated system...
I don't like the fact that if i beat a bunch of noobs i can be considered the #1 team... (Not saying any teams just in general) if for example...
c| decides to slow down on the cbing.. and all of a sudden we get 14 cbs in 2 days and were in 1st place... does this mean were the higher ranked team?
Our league solves this problem in 2 ways...
1. its all a ranking system instead of point system... So if your in 20th place and you beat someone ranked #10 you move upto 15th spot... If your inactive on the ladder... after awhile u drop 2 spots then get deleted off the ladder after a couple weeks more...
How about stats for each player an game?
http://www.battleteksquad.com/ladder/players.php?playerid=1
Stats per game
http://www.battleteksquad.com/ladder/match.php?matchid=458fef81f9320959bbc4cdcf64bed397
It records all kills...
And best of all...
We offer multiple ladders for multiple games with a chance to play on them even if your clanless...
I still think *DAMN is the original CB home... and i think maybe we can make it so that its a place for champions? By having some sort of skill point restriction per team?
Hehehe oh yeah.. we have that on our ladder system too =P
REGISTER UP FOOLS!
1v1 RS & GhR Ladders going on now!
2v2 GhR ladder also!
Teams for both RS an GhR is starting up soon... make sure all members register with the league....
Thnx!

The bts ladder seems to use a early version of the ladder i proposed to mauti, which is pretty good, but has a few problems. Bucc, brain and I did some more work on the idea because briger wanted to set up a GHR ladder for mag, however he stopped work on magnet. I should mention that the BTs ladder has one huge flaw, which took us a while to figure out when we were helping MAG. I don't know if i want to say what it is because we spent a while figuring out the perfect ladder
. I'd still be open to giving mauti all the info on this, but I'm pretty sure he won't change his system.
I don't know why other people are willing to set up ladders to deal with all the bullshit/cheating arguments going around these days. But i think a strength of DAMN is that Mauti is pretty detached from the bs of the GR world, meaning his choices and decisions are fair, and not tainted by personal squabbles.

I guess i didnt mention that we are accepting admin positions from other well respected clan members/leaders...
This league was setup for quick responses to any problems....
I love mauti and damn to death... but there is just something about waiting 2 weeks to see if u won a cb or not... Im sorry but it just seems like DAMN is a bit detatched from ghost recon all together... most of the rules were created for R6... Totally diffrent gameplay....
Hey instead of knocking us down... "Think diffrent" "play diffrent"
I'm just getting a little tired of the JUST team CBs...
I like flavor to my life... maybe a lil 1v1 action? Maybe a lil 2v2 hoedown?
Hey maybe we might come up with new ladders for diffrent styles of gameplay... Anyone down for a Siege cb?
Maybe if you helped us out too jeb we can make you happy towards your gaming needs... think of BTL as an open source league....
(insert smile here)
We are here to serve you... hehe SO COME GET SERVED!
over and out...

C'mon jeb, what's wrong with the points system? You can tell us, i'll make you a cool icon for all your hard work
I agree mauti is a lil more detatched then more hard core ghr players like our selves, but the man's been around since r6, and has hella school shit to do...as far as i know. He come's in enought to make the posts he needs to, and it seems to me when he does come...it's like he's gone over every damn post on this forum, some of those damn chaet posts are HELL to go through. Anyway, like splinter said, we needed something to do, no one would cb us "why take the loss" they would say. Just becuase we're on the top of the ladder does not mean we're unbeatable, GF kicked our asses
I'm just about to get in to BTs ladder, so for now i have nothing to say about that, but so far the FFA ladder has been some fun shit. You know what i would like to see...a FFA ladder...pistols only...MP mod active
Now that's wOOt! lol

Well sure Damn league need some auto scripts, for update ladder rank
but what is cool on damn Ladder is Mauti 's work to have think about cheat test; still good to know who is using window mode (fuckers swappers files)
Just a pain to have x numbers of printed rules to cb in all these new leagues.
:p
But its also cool to find cb style like Siege etc
Domination in a cb should be cool,
ok speaking here about Bts blt i duno welllc ladder

Don't knock it till you try it...
Cheat tests are online... There is nothing in there about windows mode... But how can you police something like that? I mean why would anyone give up the performance of their gameplay in order to use full screen night vision?
Not worth it for the players...
Last time I checked (correct me if I am wrong) but DAMN doesn't have anything about windows mode either... nor does any other league/ladder system on the internet...
You know.. I still haven't mentioned anything about the c|'s FFA...
ITS THE FREAKIN SHIZNICK MAH NUGGAS (translates to OMG FFA ROX!)
I was playing FFA matches on my server since the very begining... I love how we can now all compete in something like that.
I heard some other clans talking about how FFA doesn't help with CB training...
I think this is very wrong... Look at this situation... a FFA is the same thing (in my eyes) as your whole team being killed and its you vs 4 other guys from the other team... you have to watch your back at all times....
1v1 matches also help too... what about 2v2? Helps with knowing someone elses movments, like your clans member, when your in a team of 6 an u break off into groups of 2....
Again... DAMN rox, and BTs is going to continue CBing on it....
But since the cb world for DAMN tends to slow down, I'll be playing some 1v1 or 2v2 with fusion.... or you can find me blowing people up in the FFA world...
Either way, I'll be looking forward to challenges for ANY of the above gameplays....
Thanks again!

this ffa ladder is much fun and a batlle doesnt take much times
only there are some problems with thething where you give your score in but that probaly will get solved. I signed myself up for BTs 1v1 but I dont like 1v1 that much

I had wished the c| FFA would have been Pistols Only with MP Mod from the first I heard of it. I think that would be the truest (and most fun) FFA. In my experience, nothing says Free For All like handing out the pistols. Also the gimp factor adds realism--especially how your aim is thrown off every time you receive a non-head-shot--to me this is one of the most realistic features of the game (and most hilarious). Every time I pistol ffa I laugh as hard as I can the whole time. The craziest things can happen. Pistol wars also attract a unique breed of player that I enjoy combatting--freaks like myself!!!

I just wanna say, all these ladders are fun stuff. But when it comes down to it the DAMN ladder is where it all counts. All you guys are bitching about this that and the other thing, but we all know DAMN is the golden god to win.

the new ladders add some color to the slow cbing now... i wish i could be more active in them but time is hard to come by
... like was said ... DAMN* is the place where everything runs and is the oldest so i think it is a great ladder....
