I noticed that sometimes the character names are in a diff language
eg.

rifleman= Maskingev, Gewhrsch?tz
demo expert= Sprengstoffsekspert

...in this manner

Any ideas what "causes" this?

Is it a host or client thing?

It depends on what language version of the game host is running

German
English

and on flies server it was swedish, danish or norwegian
